Photo gallery: Plant defeats Alonso and claims first district title since 2018

The Panthers had to do it through the wind and rain, but nothing was going to stop the group from South Tampa

TAMPA, Fla.- It wasn’t the best weather going on in the Tampa Bay Area, but not even Mother Nature was going to stand in the Plant Panthers way.

The Panthers were in search of their first district championship since the Bob Weiner days and clinched it with apparent ease. Plant cruised 42-0 over Alonso, earning themselves the Class 4A-Metro, District 7 championship.

For the Panthers, the district championship is the first of the Hank Brown-coaching era and he did it with plenty of offense along the way. The Panthers racked up over 450 yards offensively and held Alonso to less than 150.

SBLive Sports Florida photographer Alex Walworth was on hand for the game and took 50 photos for our photo gallery of the Plant-Alonso matchup. Take a look at the photos from last night’s contest.
