Colton Heinrich, 3-star rated tight end, commits to Georgia over Alabama, North Carolina, Ohio State

Cardinal Gibbons (Florida) three-star tight end Colton Heinrich made his commitment on Monday afternoon to the Bulldogs

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA- The Georgia Bulldogs have become a tight end factory when it comes to producing top end talent at the position and Monday, Kirby Smart added another.

Cardinal Gibbons (Florida) junior tight end Colton Heinrich announced via Twitter that he is committing to the Bulldogs. The right end is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Alabama, Arkansas, North Carolina and Ohio State.

Through 13 games for the Chiefs last season, Heinrich was undoubtedly the top target through the air for the Cardinal Gibbons’ offense. Heinrich hauled in 36 passes for 464 yards and scored three touchdowns.

At nearly 6-foot-4, 232 pounds, Heinrich figures to add a little more size at the next level and has the ideal frame to continue playing tight end in pass and run blocking situations. Onlookers can get a look at Heinrich to start the 2023 season on May 25th in the Broward County Classic National Showcase when the Chiefs face Cardinal Gibbons of North Carolina.
