Who among Southwest Florida's boys basketball players closed out 2023 with the top performance? We're taking a look at the final games of the calendar year to decide who should be SBLive's Southwest Florida Boys Basketball Player of the Week.

You can help us decide by voting in the poll below. Voting remains open until Sunday, January 6th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Jerry Ashley, Bishop Verot: Averaged 14 points and 14 rebounds in the Vikings' own Holiday Hoopfest tournament.

Izaiah Bacchus, Island Coast: Nailed five 3-pointers and finished with 28 points in a win over Bonita Springs.

Cooper Benedict, Lemon Bay: Went for 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting in a win over Bonita Springs.

Calvin Charles, Palmetto Ridge: Put up 49 points, 23 rebounds, 7 steals and 13 blocks as the Bears went 3-1 at the John Carroll New Year's Tournament.

Justin Gollopp, Lehigh: His 22 points, including three 3-pointers, led the Lightning past Naples in double overtime.

Pat Johnson, Gateway Charter: Had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Griffins to victory over Coral Glades.

Brady Knutson, Estero: Scored 32 points against Immokalee to lead the Wildcats to their third straight win.

Sam Powell, Golden Gate: Led the Titans in scoring in two straight games (39 points total) in the Bishop Verot Holiday Hoopfest.

Marquielle Tory, Fort Myers: Led his team in scoring as the Green Wave won twice at the Bishop Verot Holiday Hoopfest.
