Vote: Who should be SBLive’s Central Florida Girls Basketball Player of the Week (2/12/2024)

Central Florida high school girls’ basketball players racked up some big numbers last week in district tournament action.

We looked at teams from Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, and Indian River counties and nominated 25 athletes for the SBLive Central Florida Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 5-10, 2024.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who should the top player selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 11:59pm and will be announced in next week’s poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. The poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Carmen Richardson, Guard, Colonial (Orlando): Senior recorded 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and five steals to lead the Grenadiers past Timber Creek (Orlando), 40-32, for the Class 7A, District 4 title.

Leah Bullard, Power Forward/Center, Dr. Phillips (Orlando): The 6-foot-1 star senior turned in a superb effort with 26 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double to lead the Panthers past Oak Ridge (Orlando), 92-63, for the Class 7A-5 title.

Saige McCloud, Small Forward, Leesburg: Sensational 6-4 sophomore recorded 28 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots to lead the Yellow Jackets past Lecanto, 74-40, for the Class 5A, District 5 title.

Ari Woodard, Guard, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): The 5-8 junior exploded for a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists to propel the Highlanders past Bishop Moore (Orlando) in the Class 4A, District 7 title game.

Makenna Day, Guard, Tohopekaliga (Kissimmee): Senior scored 12 points to lead the Tigers past Harmony, 38-32, for the Class 7A, District 6 title.

Jayme Montanez, Utility, Harmony: Sophomore recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double in a loss to Tohopekaliga.

Emily Lockey, Guard/Forward, St. Cloud: The 5-9 senior scored 16 points to lead the Bulldogs past Kathleen (Lakeland), 53-40, for the Class 6A, District 7 championship.

Alyssa Marino, Point Guard, Gateway (Kissimmee): Sophomore notched 10 points to lead the Panthers past Lake Wales for the Class 5A, District 7 title.

Izzy Francis, Guard, Windermere Prep: Freshman exploded for 20 points, five rebounds, seven assists, two steals in an 80-17 romp against Cornerstone Charter.

Aranya Alexander, Guard, Mount Dora Christian: Fantastic freshman poured in 25 points to lead the Bulldogs past Ormond Calvary Christian, 63-27, for the Class 2A, District 6 championship. Earlier, she tallied 14 points in a 66-25 win against Halifax Academy (Daytona Beach).

Kaneisha Washington, Utility, Halifax Academy (Daytona Beach): Scored 11 points in a loss to Mount Dora Christian.

Talia St. Hilaire, Forward, City of Life Christian (Kissimmee): Senior turned in another strong game with 16 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double in a 50-41 victory against Lakeland Christian in the Class 2A, District 8 championship game.

Sage Smith, Utility, The Master’s Academy (Oviedo): Senior scored 12 points to lead the Eagles past Father Lopez (Daytona Beach), 52-39, for the Class 3A-4 championship.

Oluwafimijoba Oyedeji, Utility, Heritage Prep (Orlando): Talented eighth-grader exploded for 30 points and 15 rebounds for a double-double to lead the Praetorians to a 52-31 victory against Ruskin Christian. Earlier, she had 28 points and 19 rebounds for a double-double and added two steals and three blocked shots in a 47-21 win against Christian Learning Center (Apopka); and 17 points, four rebounds and two blocks in a 42-40 win against Grace Christian (Valrico).

Serena Rosas, Shooting Guard, West Orange (Winter Garden): Junior poured in 15 points to lead the Warriors past Windermere, 54-17.

Mary-Kate Louissaint, Center, Olympia (Orlando): Senior turned in a stellar effort with 10 points and 22 rebounds for a double-double in a 35-33 victory against Cypress Creek (Orlando).

Grace Jervis, Guard, Cornerstone Charter (Belle Isle): The 5-10 junior pumped in 18 points to lead the Ducks past Trinity Prep (Winter Park), 51-40.

Faith Wener, Shooting Guard, City of Life Christian (Kissimmee): The 6-2 senior recorded 18 points, six rebounds and seven steals in a 53-3 rout of All Saints Academy.

Anovia Sheals, Forward, Mainland (Daytona Beach): Star senior broke loose for 24 points to lead the Buccaneers past Deltona, 70-41, for the 5A-4 championship,

Iniya Reddicks, Guard, Deltona: The freshman combo guard scored 11 points in a loss to Mainland (Daytona Beach).

Erynn Moffett, Guard/Forward, Palm Bay: Talented athlete exploded for 21 points to lead the Pirates past Cocoa, 67-39, and win the Class 4A, District 8 title.

Gigi Conklin-Jones, Guard, Cocoa: Freshman scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in a loss to Palm Bay.

Trishay Collins, Forward/Guard, Heritage (Palm Bay): The 6-foot-1 junior recorded six points, 11 rebounds, four steals and seven blocked shots to propel the Panthers past Sebastian River, 34-32.

Jaloni Cambridge, Point Guard, Montverde Academy: Senior from Nashville scored 19 points in a 64-62 loss to IMG Academy (Bradenton).

Ekklesia Anderson, Guard, Vero Beach: Fantastic freshman recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals to lead the Indians past (West) Palm Beach Lakes, 49-38.
