LAKELAND, FLORIDA – On Saturday morning at Lakeland Christian School, 108 athletes gathered to take part in the Big County Prep (BCP) Scout Day camp.

The origin of the athletes on hand ranged from Hernando, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Polk counties, with a number of players from the 2025 through 2027 classes.

There was no shortage of talent on hand as the camp featured many players that were standouts from the 2023 season and some that could bloom this spring.

SBLive Sports Florida was on hand for the camp and saw plenty of talent, with a list down below of the players that stood out.

Plenty of worthy names are on this list, so be sure to vote in our poll for which top standout from the BCP Scout Day you believe will emerge as a top college prospect in the fall. Voting will close on March 15th, 11:59 p.m.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominees:

Greg Thomas, DE, Pinellas Park: Thomas, a junior defensive end, showed his quickness off the ball against offensive tackles in numerous drills. His swim-spin move is nearly unstoppable coming off the edge with his 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame.

Cade Davis, DT, Tampa Catholic: Another junior defensive lineman that really stood out in linemen drills was Davis from Tampa Catholic. At 6-foot, 280 pounds, Davis displayed impressive strength bull rushing from a 3-technique. Definitely will be a player to watch as spring nears.

Ayden Wallace, QB, Fivay: One of the quarterbacks really spinning the ball well throughout the morning session was Fivay's Wallace. Just a sophomore with two more years under his belt, the signal caller showed good velocity and accuracy on intermediate and second level throws.

Jacorrion Owens, WR, Nature Coast: With good size (6-foot-2, 170 pounds) and speed on the outside, Owens was a difficult cover for any defensive back out at the camp. Whether it was running a slant, out or vertical, the junior wide receiver showcased why he could be in line for a big 2024 season with the Sharks.

Anthony Muniz, RB, Gulf: One of the top running backs out of Pasco County from the 2023 season, Muniz continued showing why he is primed for another big campaign with the Buccaneers. Displaying great balance, power and speed, though overlooked because of his size, Muniz is as good as they come in the area.

Samuel Rose, WR, Alonso: Playing primarily from the slot in 1-on-1 drills against defensive backs, Rose opened eyes throughout the morning. Coming out of his breaks, Rose was able to create good separation and showed very dependable hands hauling in passes.

Darin Townsend, DB, Largo: Quarterbacks might want to think twice before throwing in the way of the Packers' defensive back. Undercutting passes numerous times throughout the morning, Townsend read tendencies and picked off several balls in 1-on-1's.

Anthony Harris, WR, Indian Rocks Christian: The 5-foot-9 wide receiver was particularly impressive in 1-on-1 drills against defensive backs, displaying his quickness and ability to flash open on intermediate and vertical routes. Will be a wide receiver to keep an eye on out of Pinellas County.

Jesse Harden, WR, Spoto: Just a sophomore, Harden was an intriguing talent to watch because of his size (6-foot-3, 180 pounds) and speed to pair along with that. Harden was specifically hard to deal with when it came to vertical routes because of his long smooth strides and ability to track the ball.

Rhyan Yetman, TE, Sumner: Yetman has seen his recruitment really take off in the last couple of months after the 2023 season and there's a lot to like about the tight end. His size for one, at 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, is something college coaches would love along with his overall crisp route running and sure hands. Pitched in a baseball game on Friday night before taking part in the camp.

Xzavier Jackson, QB, Tampa Bay Tech: The junior signal caller came on strong last season for the Titans and continued his strong showing at the camp. Standing about 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, Jackson's size stood out along with his arm talent. After throwing for nearly 2,000 yards and 24 touchdowns last season, there's plenty to like about the Titan quarterback.

Lucca Norton, OL/DL, Jesuit: A Class of 2026 lineman, Norton looked impressive with his abilities and size at 6-foot-4, 285 pounds. The right tackle showcased his ability to slow down any defensive end and also showed dominance as a defensive stalwart.
