Orange County girls’ basketball guards led a fierce charge to the playoffs this season, with more than two dozen guiding their teams to the playoffs.

We took a look at large- and small-class teams, and private schools in the area’s biggest county and came up with 29 nominees for best girls’ basketball guard in Orange County.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who is the best girls’ basketball guard in Orange County. Voting will conclude on March 22nd, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Tierra Coleman, Wekiva (Apopka): Star senior has done it all for the Mustangs, playing at point guard, shooting guard and small forward and led them to the Class 6A Final Four. She averages 12.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Trinity Turner, Dr. Phillips (Orlando): Arguably the top point guard in Central Florida, she is averaging 19.1 points per game, including 40 three-pointers, and 8.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 3.3 steals per game in leading the Panthers to a 25-4 record and the 7A Final Four.

Mallory Daniels, Legacy Charter (Ocoee): Senior point guard was one of the area’s top overall players, averaging 19.1 points, 3.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.6 steals per game for the Eagles.

Trinity Harden, Central Florida Christian Academy (Ocoee): Senior guard is having a strong season, averaging 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in leading the Eagles to a 23-4 record and the Class 2A Final Four.

Yariana Lugo Perez, East River (Orlando): Senior combo guard averaged 18.1 points per game, including 38 three-pointers, in leading the Falcons to the Class 6A playoffs.

Mckenna Murphy, Boone (Orlando): Super senior combo guard averaged an impressive 16.7 points and 3.6 assists per game in leading the Braves to the Class 7A playoffs. She regularly ranked among the team’s scoring leaders.

Micah Hannah, Ocoee: Senior played at both power forward and point guard and averaged 15.4 points per game, including 28 three-pointers, and 4.7 rebounds and a whopping 7.1 steals per game, to lead the Knights to the Class 7A playoffs. She was one of Central Florida’s best defensive players.

Bianca Hall, The First Academy (Orlando): Fantastic freshman averaged 15.3 points per game, including a whopping 52 three-pointers, and 4.0 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game to lead the Royals to the Class 3A playoffs.

Alex Wolsonovich, Bishop Moore (Orlando): Star sophomore averaged 15.1 points per game, including 34 three-pointers, and 3.2 rebounds per game to lead the Hornets to the Class 4A playoffs.

Zoe Calvez, West Orange (Winter Garden): Senior had a nice season, averaging 11.0 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in leading the Warriors to the Class 7A playoffs.

Khalise Vidal, Oak Ridge (Orlando): Junior combo guard averaged 9.7 points, 6.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game in leading the Pioneers to the Class 7A playoffs.

Zoe Sedo, Windermere Prep: Senior point guard averaged 13.6 points, including 37 three-pointers, and 5.5 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.2 steals per game to lead the Lakers to the Class 3A playoffs.

Jada Eads, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): Talented senior point guard is averaging 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.1 steals per game in leading the powerful Highlanders to the Class 4A Final Four.

Carmen Richardson, Colonial (Orlando): Talented senior combo guard is averaging 11.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.9 steals per game for the Grenadiers, who advanced to the Class 7A Final Four with a 26-3 record.

Ari Woodard, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): Junior combo point guard is part of a deep backcourt for the Highlanders, averaging 11.9 points per game, including 36 three-pointers, and 3.9 assists per game.

Talia Kemp, Southeastern Prep Academy (Orlando): Senior is averaging 14.0 points, 3.7 assists per game, and 3.1 rebounds per game for the Falcons.

Sienna Astorino, Horizon (Winter Garden): Junior combo guard averaged 10.1 points, 3.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game in leading the Hawks to the Class 6A playoffs.

Karishma Ortiz, Timber Creek (Orlando): Senior averaged 10.3 points, including 52 three-pointers, and 3.0 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game in leading the Wolves to the Class 7A playoffs.

Bri Rivera, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): Senior shooting guard has made a staggering 88 three-pointers while averaging 12.2 points for the game for the Class 4A power Highlanders.

Dezmariah Soto, Southeastern Prep Academy (Orlando): Senior point guard has made 73 three-pointers while averaging 12.2 points per game for the Falcons.

Anilys Rolon, Dr. Phillips (Orlando): Junior combo guard has made a whopping 62 three-pointers while averaging 10.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game for the Class 7A powerhouse Panthers.

Lexi Blue, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): The talented 6-foot-2 senior has played at shooting guard and small forward, making 60 three-pointers while averaging 14.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game for the Highlanders.

Danika Ballard, Boone (Orlando): Senior combo guard made a whopping 58 three-pointers while averaging 9.1 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Braves.

Jasmine Bocca, Colonial (Orlando): Senior point guard has made 56 three-pointers while averaging 9.4 points per game in leading the Grenadiers to the Class 7A Final Four.

Jennica Suggs, Southeastern Prep Academy (Orlando): Senior has made 45 three-pointers, averaging 10.2 ppg and 2.7 rebounds per game for the Falcons.

Avery Michels, Foundation Academy (Winter Garden): Fantastic freshman combo guard averaged 15.4 points per game, including 44 three-pointers, for the Lions.

Victoria Zaremba, Bishop Moore (Orlando): Junior shooting guard made 38 three-pointers while averaging 13.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Class 4A playoff Hornets.

Sam Childs, Winter Park: Senior turned in a solid season for the Wildcats, making 38 three-pointers while averaging 11.9 points per game.

Alayiah Johnson, Windermere Prep: Sophomore guard averaged 10 points, 4.5 steals and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Lakers.
