Coach's corner

"We have a strong returning offensive line with 4 returning starters and 6 who have varsity playing experience leading our offense," said Hedlund. "Junior quarterback Justin Esquivel takes over after two years leading the lower levels. He has a few good veteran playmakers around him including returning starting running back Julius Hicks. Hicks accounted for over 600 yards rushing as a junior in 7 games."

"Defensively the Eagles are again anchored by their defensive front. Three returning starting linebackers and a deep experienced defensive line lead the charge for the new defensive coordinator, Joseph Scott."

"Overall we expect our line to be the strength of the team after having some great showings in lifting and line competitions."
