THREE TO SEE

Elelyon Noa, running back

The county’s top running back has rushed for over 4,700 yards in his first three seasons while amassing double digit scholarship offers from the likes of Yale, Iowa State, and San Diego State.

Delshawn Traylor, athlete

Mr. Everything for the Highlanders, last season Traylor
threw three touchdown passes, ran for 14 touchdowns and intercepted four passes
at safety. He’s committed to Army.

Jaiden Brown, cornerback

After two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns a season ago, Brown should be ready as a top contributor for his junior campaign.

OUTLOOK

Owens has his team facing a gauntlet during their first five games, with three top tier out-of-section teams plus No. 1 St. Augustine and No. 2 Cathedral Catholic.

Helix had five different players attempt a pass last season, but with Noa and Traylor returning a heavy dose of power football should be expected.

The Highlanders shared the league title last season, but have only dropped two league games since 2010. A healthy start to the season could see them celebrating yet another league title.
