Congratulations to Franklin High School quarterback Alfred Bobadilla for being voted our Southern California football player of the week!

Bobadilla, a senior, was 16-of-26 for 331 yards and four touchdowns through the air in Franklin's 48-21 upset of Fairfax on Sept. 21. He also ran for three TDs in the win.

Bobadilla received 46% of the vote, beating out Kaiser QB Trevian Tribble who finished with 29%. Servite quarterback Noah Fifita finished third with 21% of the vote.

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for Sept. 16-22:

Kameron Rocha, San Jacinto WR/DB: Rocha had two receptions for 80 yards on offense -- both catches were touchdowns -- and intercepted a pass and returned it 40 yards on defense in San Jacinto's 46-3 win over Temecula Valley.

Luca Diamont, Venice QB: Diamont passed for 185 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 149 yards and two TDs in Venice's 63-56 loss to Newbury Park.

Stephen Britton, Santa Fe Christian RB: The senior running back tallied 310 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns, averaging 11.9 yards per carry in a 51-28 win over La Jolla Country Day.

Nicholas Floyd, Corona Centennial RB: Floyd had 11 carries for 156 yards and two TDs, plus a 74-yard TD reception in Centennial's 57-13 win over Long Beach Poly.

Elelyon Noa, Helix RB: Noa carried the ball 30 times for 270 yards and a TD in Helix's 44-38 win over St. Augustine.

Noah Fifita, Servite QB: Fifita threw for 404 yards and 6 touchdowns as Servite rolled to a 48-9 win over Villa Park.

Daniel Kries, Poway LB: Kries, a junior, had 12 tackles and 2 sacks as the Titans blanked Westview 20-0.

Trevian Tribble, Kaiser QB: rushed for 285 yards on 28 carries, and his 59-yard touchdown run with 48 seconds left clinched the victory for the Cats, who led by one point prior to that. Tribble also threw for 81 yards.

Zevi Eckhaus, Culver City QB: Eckhaus completed 36 of 53 passes for 577 yards and seven touchdowns while also running for a TD in his team’s 55-52 overtime win over Palos Verdes.

Ben Gulbranson, Newbury Park QB: Gulbranson was 25-of-39 for 446 yards and six touchdowns -- plus two rushing TDs -- to lead Newbury Park to a 63-56 win over Venice.

Lance Keneley, Mission Viejo DE: Keneley had four tackles for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in Mission Viejo's 63-7 over St. Mary’s.

Jahiem Allen-Pompey, Mt. Miguel WR: Allen-Pompey, a senior, hauled in 10 receptions for 246 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Matadors took down Valhalla 46-28.
