Congratulations to Chaparral High School running back Hunter Roddy for being voted Scorebook Live's Southern California football player of the week!

Roddy, a sophomore, rushed 40 times for 352 yards and 7 touchdowns in Chaparral’s 49-47 win over Great Oak on Nov. 1. Roddy and the Pumas play Hart Friday night in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 4 playoffs.

Roddy received 33.7% of the vote, beating out Franklin QB Alfred Bobadilla who finished with 23.7%. Francis Parker RB Chris White finished third with 18.7% and Torrey Pines LB Marco Notarainni finished fourth with 18%.

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for Oct. 28-Nov. 3:

Alfred Bobadilla, Franklin QB: Bobadilla passed for 257 yards and rushed for 70 yards in Franklin's 40-0 win over Lincoln.

Jahiem Allen-Pompey, Mt. Miguel WR: In a 49-26 victory over Del Norte, Allen-Pompey caught 17 passes for 268 yards. Allen-Pompey now holds the CIF San Diego Section record for both receptions in a season (102) and receiving yards in a season (1,921).

Ryan Zanelli, La Habra QB:Zanelli threw five touchdown passes in the first half of the Highlanders’ 42-6 win over Sonora. He’s thrown 37 touchdown passes this season and just one interception.

Anthony Ruvalcaba, Garfield DL: Ruvalcaba spearheaded a dominant effort by Garfield’s defense in a 25-0 win over Roosevelt. Thanks to Ruvalcaba's constant pressure the Bulldogs forced four fumbles and held Roosevelt to just 24 total yards in the first half.

Keyshawn Smith, Lincoln WR: Smith had 8 catches for 96 yards and 2 touchdowns to help Lincoln upset Cathedral Catholic 24-19.

Chris White, Francis Parker RB: White, a freshman, carried the ball 13 times for 219 yards and a touchdown as Francis Parker took down La Jolla Country Day, 58-50.

Jaycob Hicks, Morse QB: Hicks stepped in at quarterback for Morse and helped the Tigers beat University City by rushing 10 times for 201 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was also 2 of 2 for 28 yards and a touchdown through the air.

C.J. Stroud, Rancho Cucamonga QB: Stroud threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns as the Cougars won the Baseline League title with a 47-28 victory over Upland.

Keoa Gumataotao, Montgomery QB: Gumataotao was 11 of 17 for 199 yards and 4 touchdown passes to lead the Aztecs to a 34-10 win over previously unbeaten Castle Park.

Bryce Young, Mater Dei QB: Young capped off a spectacular regular season by going 17-for-17 with five TD passes -- in the first half. The Monarchs hammered JSerra 51-14.

Jaime Odom, Grossmont QB: Odom was 21 of 28 passing for 292 yards and 4 touchdowns in Grossmont's 49-28 win over El Capitan. He also ran 13 times for 112 yards and scored 2 more touchdowns for the Foothillers.

Marco Notarainni, Torrey Pines LB: Notarainni racked up 12 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and caught a 13-yard touchdown pass while also serving as the Falcons punt returner in their 21-13 loss to La Costa Canyon.
