Former Patrick Henry High School standout wide receiver Dezmon was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts Saturday in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Patmon, who played four seasons at Washington State, was selected with the 212th overall pick. He was considered one of the top deep threats coming into the draft with several mock drafts projecting him in the later rounds.

Patmon was a three-star recruit out of Patrick Henry, choosing the Cougars over Colorado, California, and Boise State.

Patmon was very productive during his final two seasons at Patrick Henry, catching 96 passes and 19 touchdowns. Patmon also grabbed eight interceptions while playing defense.

DEZMON PATMON

2020 NFL Draft: Sixth round, No. 212 overall

College: Washington State

High school: Patrick Henry

The skinny: A 6'4", 225 pound wide receiver, Patmon caught passes in each of his four seasons at Washington State, leading the team in receiving yards as a junior. He finished his career in Pullman with 156 catches for 1,976 yards and 13 touchdowns.

What they're saying:NFL.com's Lance Zierlein says "Big pass-catcher with intriguing size but lacking the assertiveness to impose his will. Patmon suffers from an overall lack of suddenness to uncover on both the first and second levels and issues with focus drops is an additional concern since he'll see plenty of contested catches. He has decent buildup speed, body control and ball skills to compete for 50/50 balls, but he doesn't always play with "my-ball" attitude. He's big but limited and must play with better confidence and toughness to carve out a roster spot."
