Mater Dei four-star recruit Jaylin Davies, one of the best cornerbacks in the country in the class of 2021, committed to the Oregon Ducks on Friday. His final four included USC, Ohio State and Arizona State.

Davies, a 6-foot, 175-pound lockdown corner, was named to SBLive's All-Southern Section first team last season. He helped lead the Monarchs to a 12-1 season and a Trinity League title.

USC football had been on a roll, landing multiple high-profile class of 2021 recruits over the last two months. But Davies opted for the Ducks, who are putting together another "califlock" of class of 2021 California high school commits. The flock includes running back Seven McGee (Corona Centennial) and receivers Troy Franklin (Menlo-Atherton) and Kyron Ware-Hudson (Mater Dei).

Davies and Mater Dei enter the summer ranked No. 2 behind St. John Bosco in SBLive's Way-Too-Early Southern Section Top 25 rankings.
