OUTLOOK
Franklin’s football program has been defined by how many players they can put on the field, and with this as a main concern, it’s hard to put together a winning team.
“What makes a team is how many kids come to practice,” said coach Delgardo, who enters his third year as head coach.
The Quakers will lose four or five guys from last year’s squad to transfer this season, which will hurt numbers even more.
Delgardo went on to say that “grades have also been killing [the Quakers] the last couple of years,” which emphasizes another difficulty of pulling together a program at Franklin.
Hopefully the Quakers will be able to field a team this season, as the program’s future will be dependent on the turnout they get from the student body.
