Scorebook Live California's Connor Morrissette makes his LA City Section football picks every Thursday during the high school football season. He takes a shot at predicting Week Three games below.

Narbonne vs. Orange Lutheran

The Lone Peak loss was a wakeup call for the Gauchos. Narbonne decimated St. Paul last week and I expect another win on Friday. Warning for Orange Lutheran: don't let Jordan Banks scoop up any more fumbles.

The pick: Narbonne

San Fernando vs. Dorsey

Two years ago these two teams met in the Division 1 City championship. San Fernando has been trending up since they won that game in 2017, while Dorsey has taken a step down. I like Bradley Pierce and the Tigers.

The pick: San Fernando

Garfield vs. Crenshaw

Crenshaw is coming off of a bye and hosting this week. I think that gives them the edge. Garfield better block Isaiah Willard.

The pick: Crenshaw

Westchester vs. Banning

The Comets are 3-0 without starting quarterback Jeliun Carter. I think his loss hurts this week against RB/LB Jakob Galloway and Banning.

The pick: Banning

Fairfax vs. Eagle Rock

This is first-year Fairfax coach Juan Solorio's toughest test so far. It will be close, but I have Fairfax coming up just short. The Lions must try and keep Eagle Rock QB Axel Ayers in the pocket.

The pick: Eagle Rock

Kennedy vs. Granada Hills

This year's rivalry game features two first year head coaches. After a really hard first three games, Granada Hills head coach Bucky Brooks should get his first career win.

The pick: Granada Hills

Reseda vs. Palisades

This is a tough one. I picked against Reseda last week and was burned. I don't think this is as simple as "Cleveland beat Palisades and Reseda beat Cleveland." Regent wide receiver Mario Martinez will be the best player on the field Friday. That gives the Regents a slight edge.

The pick: Reseda

Sylmar vs. Grant

This is the week Spartan head coach LaRon Johnson gets his first win at Sylmar.

The pick: Sylmar

Overall pick record: 16-5
