LAKE BALBOA– Pacifica defeated Birmingham in a physical and rainy affair Saturday evening to advance to the state championship where they will play McClymonds from Oakland.
Birmingham had a strong home crowd. The Tritons brought an equally strong road crowd all the way from Oxnard. The evening ended with Pacifica being crowned the Southern Regional 2-A champion.
