3A Arkansas high school football preview: Harding Academy the team to beat
The 2020 Arkansas high school football season has arrived.
To kick off the season, SBLive is previewing the top teams in every class ahead of the first week of games. Here’s an inside look at Class 3A:
Top 3A team: Harding Academy
Caden Sipe is back under center for the Wildcats after an incredible junior campaign where he threw for 3,868 yards and a state-high 59 touchdown passes while only throwing 6 picks. He threw 22 of those TDs to Ty Dugger, who comes back for Harding Academy as well.
Harding Academy and 7A champion Bryant were the only undefeated teams in Arkansas a year ago. The Wildcats have the talent to run the table again in 2020, assuming they can begin their season.
Harding Academy had to cancel its first game of the season due to multiple COVID-19 positive tests on their team. They'll hopefully start the year Sept. 11 at home against Heber Springs

Osceola, Prescott, Newport and Hoxie all have the talent to contend in 3A.
