Sept. 28, 2020

1. COEUR D’ALENE, 3-0 (5A) beat Lake City, 40-13

Last week was seventh time in past 10 games Vikings scored 40 or more points.

Up next: Friday vs. No. 8 Post Falls, 7 p.m.

2. ROCKY MOUNTAIN, 3-0 (5A) on bye week

Grizzlies next stop on 4A champion Kuna's "Why Did We Come Back to 5A Tour?"

Up next: Friday at Kuna, 7 p.m.

3. HIGHLAND, 5-1 (5A) beat Madison, 30-14

While others have had bye weeks, Rams played six in a row to open 2020. Break welcomed.

Up next: On bye week

4. RIGBY, 5-0 (5A) beat Thunder Ridge, 54-7

Since last season, no 5A team has had more 40-point games (nine) than the reigning champs.

Up next: Friday at Idaho Falls, 7 p.m.

5. EAGLE, 2-1 (5A) on bye week

Last time the Mustangs lost to Meridian was 2007 - John Zamberlin's first year at Idaho State.

Up next: Friday at Preston, 7 p.m.

7. CAPITAL, 1-0 (5A) beat Skyview, 55-12

After the way QB Max Clark and offense ran up points, this should be Eagles' full-time home.

Up next: Friday vs. Boise, 7 p.m.

8. POST FALLS, 3-1 (5A) on bye week

Only 2020 loss was in shootout with Rigby. Can Trojans be the ones to pull off stunner this week?

Up next: Friday at No. 1 Coeur d’Alene, 7 p.m.

9. SKYLINE, 4-1 (4A) beat Bonneville, 49-0

Have a sneaking suspicion Grizzlies won't be the fourth No. 1 4A team in a row to be upended this week?

Up next: Friday at Madison, 7 p.m.

10. MERIDIAN, 3-0 (5A) on bye week

If Warriors want to stay squarely on the 5A map, win against Mustangs would go a long way.

Up next: Friday at No. 5 Eagle, 7 p.m.

Dropped out: No. 9 Emmett
