Former Narbonne High School quarterback Jake Garcia, who had played one game at Valdosta High this season in Georgia, will transfer to Grayson High School in Georgia, SBLive confirmed on Wednesday.

Grayson is currently the No. 4 team in the country in SBLive's latest Power 25 national high school football rankings.

Garcia played in Valdosta's first game of the season on Sept. 4, a 28-25 victory over Warner Robins. He passed for 332 yards in the win. In September, Garcia was ruled ineligible by the Georgia High School Association due to violating transfer rules and Valdosta's win over Warner Robbins became a forfeit loss.

Garcia's parents legally separated and Garcia had moved to Valdosta with his father, Randy, but because the Garcia's separated only for a football transfer, Garcia was ruled ineligible.

Garcia is expected to be ruled immediately eligible to play at Grayson High, according to ESPN. Garcia's father now has sole custody of Garcia, which satisfies the GHSA transfer rules.

Garcia, a USC commit, threw for 2,301 yards and 25 touchdowns in nine games for Narbonne in 2019. The Gauchos went 8-1 in those games, but before their regular season finale against Banning, the football team was banned from the playoffs and had to forfeit all nine of their games due to fielding an ineligible player. The Banning game was then canceled.

Grayson will be the fifth high school Garcia has attended. Before Narbonne, Garcia played for Long Beach Poly. Before transferring to Georgia, he was enrolled at La Habra.
