On Sunday we released our 14th Power 25 of the 2020 high school football season, a weekly look at the top high school football teams in the country.

Every week, SBLive reporter Connor Morrissette previews the country’s top high school football games with an emphasis on what their results mean for the Power 25. Here’s what we’re watching this week.

Nov. 27: Atascocita (Humble, Texas) (4-1) vs. No. 2 North Shore (Houston, Texas) (9-0)

North Shore is 39-1 over the last three seasons. The Mustangs should win this week, but Atascocita is one of their tougher regular season games.

Nov. 27: DeSoto (Texas) (6-1) vs. No. 8 Duncanville (Texas) (6-1)

Duncanville beat Cedar Hill (Texas) 28-14 two weeks ago, a team DeSoto lost to 49-42. Expect Duncanville to win this week, but DeSoto is a very talented team that may give them some problems.

Nov. 27: Brookwood (Snellville, Ga.) (8-2) vs. No 9 Colquitt County (Norman Park, Ga.) (7-0) (7A playoffs)

Colquitt County ended the regular season perfect having won all seven of their games by at least two touchdowns. Brookwood was a Power 25 contender earlier in the season, but two late regular season defeats burst their bubble.

Nov. 27: Prosper (Texas) (4-2) vs. No. 13 Allen (Texas) (6-0)

Allen is a dark horse 6A title contender in Texas. Beating Prosper and then Braswell to end the season will put other 6A teams on serious notice.

Nov. 27: No. 15 Center Grove (Greenwood, Ind.) (13-0) vs. Westfield (Indianapolis, Ind.) (12-1) (6A title game)

Center Grove is going for a perfect season on Friday. Senior running back Carson Steele has rushed for 1,549 yards in 2020. He's the name to know heading into the state title game.

Nov. 27: Sumter (S.C.) (8-0) vs. No. 16 Dutch Fork (Irmo, S.C.) (8-0) (5A semifinals)

Dutch Fork will finally face off against a team that is on its level this week. Senior quarterback Will Taylor, a Clemson commit, rushed for 225 yards and five touchdowns in Dutch Fork’s 63-42 win over Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) last week. He threw for 131 yards and a TD as well.

Nov. 27: Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) (9-1) vs. 19. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) (4-1) (7A playoffs)

St. Thomas Aquinas has six players listed in the top 50 of 247Sports’ 2021 Florida player rankings. Alabama defensive line commit Dallas Turner leads the way at No. 7. Junior quarterback Zion Turner has received scholarship offers from LSU and Miami, among others. We expect St. Thomas Aquinas to win, but that's also what we thought when they faced off against Cardinal Gibbons in the regular season, a game the Raiders lost 17-10.

Nov. 27: No. 20 American Heritage (Plantation, Fla.) (7-2) Rockledge (Fla.) (7-1) (5A playoffs)

After missing out on the Power 25 over the past few weeks, American Heritage returned in large part because of their defense, which is led by safety James Williams (Miami commit), cornerback Earl Little Jr. and defensive end Marvin Jones Jr. Those are the names to know ahead of Friday's showdown against Rockledge.

Nov. 27: Naples (Fla.) (7-1) vs. Central (Miami, Fla.) (4-1) (6A playoffs)

Central is on the outside looking in of the Power 25. A win this week could lead to a Rockets return.

Nov. 27: Bridgeland (Cypress, Texas) (9-0) vs. Cy-Fair (Texas) (9-0)

Nothing is set in stone, but this is looking more and more like a "win and you're in the Power 25" game between these two Texas heavyweights.

Nov. 27: Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, Fla.) (6-1) vs. Edison (Miami, Fla.) (4-1) (3A playoffs)

If Chaminade-Madonna goes on to win a 3A title in Florida, they'd warrant serious Power 25 consideration. This week, the Lions on Edison in the 3A quarterfinals.

Nov. 27: Armwood (Seffner, Fla.) (5-3) vs. Bloomingdale (Valrico, Fla.) (10-0) (7A playoffs)

These two teams met in the first week of the regular season with Bloomingdale winning 15-14. If the Bulls win the rematch, they'll stay on our Power 25 radar.

Nov. 27: Treasure Coast (St. Lucie, Fla.) (10-0) vs. Palmetto (Miami, Fla.) (3-1) (8A playoffs)

Palmetto is in a similar position to Miami Central, the Panthers lost a regular season game to Northwestern (Miami, Fla.), but if they win a state title, they'll make a strong case to be ranked.

Nov. 27: Florida State University High (Tallahassee, Fla.) (10-0) vs. Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) (9-1) (3A playoffs)

Trinity Christian Academy upset American Heritage 3-0 on Oct. 16. That win has kept them in the Power 25 discussion. A 3A state title win in Florida may mean a spot in the Power 25.

Nov. 27: Jenks (Okla.) (10-1) vs. Owasso (Okla.) (12-0) (6A-I semifinals)

In Oklahoma, Owasso and Bixby are the two top teams in the state. They play in separate playoff divisions and both have played relatively easy schedules. Those teams not going up against each other head to head may end up costing them when the final Power 25 comes out in January. Of course, both need to win state titles before getting to that point. We expect that to happen.

Nov. 28: No. 5 St. Joseph’s Prep (Philadelphia, Pa.) (5-0) vs. Central York (Pa.) (10-0) (6A championship)

St. Joe's is going for a perfect season and state title on Saturday to cement their place as a top five Power 25 team.

Nov. 28: No. 11 De Smet Jesuit (St. Louis, Mo.) (6-0) vs. Raymore-Peculiar (Mo.) (11-2) (Class 6 state title game)

Eight De Smet seniors are committed to Division 1 programs. Last season the Spartans went 14-0. They’re trying to win back to back state titles on Saturday.

Nov. 28: No. 17 St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) (4-1) vs. Bergen Catholic (Oradell, N.J.) (4-1)

Surprisingly, neither St. Peter's Prep or Bergen Catholic enters this game undefeated following St. Peter's Prep's defeat to Seton Hall Prep 26-25 in overtime on Monday.

Unless one of these teams blows out the other, both will most likely miss out on the Power 25 rankings because Saturday's game ends the New Jersey high school football season. There are no state playoffs.

Nov. 28: No. 22 Cathedral (Indianapolis, Ind.) (12-1) vs. Zionsville (Ind.) (8-5) (5A championship)

A 5A state championship will secure Cathedral's spot as a Power 25 team. With a win Saturday, they'll finish the year ranked.

Nov. 28: Midwest City (Okla.) (8-2) vs. Bixby (Okla.) (9-0) (6A-II semifinals)

We rank Bixby as the top team in Oklahoma. They're knocking on the Power 25 door as hard as any team in the country, but a weak strength of schedule may leave them on the outside looking in.

Nov. 28: Pomona (Arvada, Colo.) (7-0) vs. Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village, Colo.) (7-0) (5A semifinals)

Cherry Creek is a team newly on our Power 25 radar. If they go on to win a 5A state title in Colorado, that will warrant Power 25 consideration. Cherry Creek has three seniors ranked in the Top 10 of Colorado's 2021 247Sports recruiting rankings. Texas tight end commit Gunnar Helm leads the way at No. 3.
