George County's M.J. Daniels flips from Mississippi State to Ole Miss on signing day
One of Mississippi's most coveted high school football recruits shocked some fans Wednesday when he flipped from Mississippi State to Ole Miss.
George County three-star athlete M.J. Daniels had long been committed to the Bulldogs, but picked up the powder-blue Ole Miss hat in front of him on the table when it came time to announce his college destination.
Daniels was one of several high-profile athletes from Mississippi to sign with Ole Miss on Wednesday.
He joined fellow coast prospect Eli Sabbatini, the three-star safety from Biloxi and Hartfield Academy three-star receiver Brandon Buckhaulter.
Mississippi State fans were understandably upset, especially considering Daniels had been committed to MSU since Sept. 19.
The Bulldogs did receive two high-profile, in-state receiver commits Wednesday, with Kosiusko four-star receiver Antonio Harmon and Harrison Central three-star receiver Jacobi Moore signing up to play in coach Mike Leach's pass-happy offense.
