Congratulations to McGeheerunning back Channing Woodson for being voted SBLive’s Arkansas High School Athlete of the Week!

Woodson rushed eight times for 103 yards and a touchdown in their 71-44 loss to Harding Academy in the 3A state championship.

Woodson received 59.42% of the vote, beating out McGehee's Jody Easter, who finished with 36.64%. Rivercrest's Keshawn Scott finished third with 3.29% and Shiloh Christian's Eli Wisdom finished fourth with 0.34%.

Caden Sipe, Harding Academy: The senior quarterback was named the MVP of the 3A football state championship game after completing 22 of 27 passes for 430 yards with eight touchdowns and an interception. The eight touchdown passes are a state final record. Sipe also ran for a team-leading 113 yards and a touchdown.

Ty Dugger, Harding Academy: Dugger caught 10 passes for 248 yards and four scores in the Wildcats’ 71-44 victory over McGehee in the 3A state championship. He also had two interceptions, including a pick six.

Jody Easter, McGehee: The running back finished with 223 yards of offense and three touchdowns in their 71-44 loss to Harding Academy in the 3A state championship.

Andrew Miller, Harding Academy: The running back racked up more than 200 yards of offense and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 71-44 victory over McGehee in the 3A state championship.

Eli Wisdom, Shiloh Christian: The sophomore quarterback earned the MVP award of the 4A state championship with 16 runs for 110 yards and three touchdowns and 239 yards passing with three touchdowns on 17-of-21 efficiency. His 80.9 completion percentage is tied for the highest in a state championship game with Warren’s Justin Gorman in 2014.

Cam Wiedemann, Shiloh Christian:Wiedemann racked up 179 yards of offense and scored two touchdowns to help lead Shiloh Christian to a 58-20 win over Rivercrest in the 4A state championship.

Cooper Hutchinson, Shiloh Christian:Hutchinson hauled in a 39-yard touchdown pass and intercepted a pass on defense to help lead the Saints to a 58-20 win over Rivercrest in the 4A state championship.

Keshawn Scott, Rivercrest: The running back racked up over 180 yards of offense and scored three touchdowns in the Colts’ 58-20 loss to Shiloh Christian in the 4A state championship.
