Greenforest is known best for its twin 7-foot towers, but its guards came up big Saturday to score the fourth Class A Private state championship for the Eagles.
Jalen Forrest scored 26 points and Florian Tenebay added 17 to lead Greenforest to a 61-52 win over King's Ridge Christian.
Isaac Martin was lethal from 3-point range for King's Ridge, leading the Tigers with 18 points on 6-for-10 shooting from beyond the arc.
Micah Hoover added 16 points and seven rebounds, and the 6-foot-6 junior did an admirable job battling Greenforest 7-footers Gai Chol and DK Manyiel inside.
Greenforest won the rebounding battle 35-20, including 19 offensive boards, but the Eagles went 0-for-9 from 3-point range while the Tigers shot 10-for-23 from distance.
