Here are some stars from the past week's boys and girls basketball games in Georgia.

London Johnson, Norcross boys

Johnson led Norcross to a 7A state title and filled up the stat sheet with a game-high 27 points along with eight boards, two assists and four steals.

Jerry Deng, Norcross boys

Deng did a great job on both sides of the ball with 14 points with 12 boards and helped hold Berkmar’s Malique Ewin to only 13 points.

Zaria Hurston, Norcross girls

Norcross inched by Harrison to win the 7A state championship. Hurston was huge for the Lady Blue, getting a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Jania Akins, Norcross girls

Akins came up big in the clutch for Norcross, scoring 11 of her 14 points in the fourth quarter to help Norcross capture its first title since 2013.

Jalen Forrest, Greenforest boys

Forrest’s game-high 26 points along with his six rebounds and two steals were big in holding off King’s Ridge for the Class A Private state title.

Florian Tenebay, Greenforest boys

Tenebay was all over the court in Greenforest’s title win, amassing 17 points, five boards, four assists and four steals.

Kara Dunn, Mount Paran girls

Dunn went off versus Hebron with 30 points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Her performance helped Mount Paran capture its first state title.

Frankquon Sherman, Grovetown boys

Sherman’s double-double of 23 points and 13 rebounds helped Grovetown secure the 6A state championship victory over Buford.

Layla Hood, Lovejoy girls

Hood helped Lovejoy capture its first state title since 2018, picking up a double-double of 14 points with 16 boards.

Antoine Lorick, Cross Creek boys basketball

Lorick did all of the little things to help Cross Creek repeat as 3A state champs. He had 10 points, seven boards, four steals and three blocks.

D’ante Bass, Windsor Forest boys basketball

Bass balled out despite the loss to Cross Creek. Hee had 22 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Kate Jackson, Lumpkin County girls

Jackson secured a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds in Lumpkin County's state championship win over Greater Atlanta Christian.

Kory Mincy, Tri-Cities boys

Mincy dropped 19 points with five assists and four steals to help Tri-Cities get its revenge over Eagle's Landing for last year’s title game loss.

Sydney Bowles, Woodward Academy girls

Bowles did it all for her team with 19 points, seven boards and six assists to help capture back-to-back state titles for Woodward.

Khalon Hudson, Westside boys

Hudson had a double-double in Westside’s win over Butler, finishing with 10 points and 11 boards.

Aaniyah Allen, Elbert County girls

Allen was on her A-game, scoring 17 points and adding six boards and two blocks to give Elbert County its first state title.

Lexy Faklaris and Avery Fantucci, Marist girls

Marist needed every bit of Faklaris and Fantucci’s heroics to take down Luella. Faklaris had 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Fantucci went for 19 points and seven boards and a hit two buzzer-beaters.

Milani Smith, Luella girls

Smith went off for 20 points, 10 rebounds and two assists in the last-second loss to Marist.

Cedric Taylor, Drew Charter boys

Taylor did it all for Drew, with 13 points, seven boards, three assists, two steals and five blocks — one of them being the game-saving block in a 51-50 win over Warren County.

Georgia Bosart, Lake Oconee Academy girls

Bosart had the game of a lifetime with 17 points, 20 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block to help Lake Oconee capture its first state title.
