Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking a look at some of the top track and field athletes in Georgia.

We started with the top sprinters in the boys division, and now it's time to highlight the fastest girls in the state.

There are hundreds of standout sprinters in Georgia, and these lists are not intended to be comprehensive! Tag us on Twitter or Instagram at @SBLiveGA and let us know about other athletes worthy of fans’ attention.

Note: We'll also be posting lists of the state's top hurdlers, jumpers, throwers and distance runners in the coming weeks. Many athletes excel in multiple events, but we won't do write-ups on the same athlete on multiple lists.

Colleen Branch, Westlake

The reigning Class 6A 100-meter champ is back at it again to start her senior season. She had the fastest 100-meter time in the state this season entering the Christian Coleman Invitational on March 19, but she's now sitting third at 11.62. Branch also has the top long jump in the state this season.

Sanaa Frederick, Druid Hills

Frederick has been a record setter in only two years at Druid Hills. She already holds records for the 100, 200 and 400 meters at Druid Hills. Not only is she well known at her own school, but the sophomore has statewide recognition with top 10 times this year in the 100 (12.09) and 200 (24.69).

Tamiia Fuller, Peachtree Ridge

Fuller had the fastest time of any girl in the state last season in the 100 and 200 meters as a junior. The future Kentucky Wildcat was also top 25 for both races in the entire country.

Madison Gardner, Banneker

Gardner is the reigning Class 5A state champ in the 400 meters, and she did so as a freshman. She will look to repeat as a champion in her sophomore campaign.

Anetra Graham, Lakeside Evans

Graham broke Lakeside’s 100- and 200-meter record last season as a sophomore. She's top five in the 100 this season at 11.89 and 200 at 24.60 and is looking to keep adding cushion to her school records and beyond.

Gabriella Grissom, Sandy Creek

Grissom is the reigning 3A state champion in the 400 meters. She has the best 400 time (54.18) among all girls this season by more than a full second and is on pace to repeat as champion.

Taylor Gullatte, Landmark Christian

Gullatte is a freshman phenom. She has a top-three time this season in the 200 (24.47) and 400 meters (55.54). As far as her own school, she has already shattered both of them. She has a lot of time to keep re-setting those records.

Skyler Harrelson, Cherokee

Harrelson’s calling card in the past has been the long jump, but she has made great strides in the 100 meters. The senior clocked a new PR earlier this month with a 12.11, which is good for top 10 in the state.

Sydney Harris, Buford

Harris had the fastest 400-meter time in the state last season with a 53.67, which was also good for the 10th fastest-time in the country. Her first time on the track this season will be highly anticipated.

Adaejah Hodge, Alexander

Hodge was one of the most exciting freshmen in the country last season. She won the 6A 200-meter championship by a mile last season and came in second in the 100 by .05 seconds. She will look to take home both titles in her sophomore season. Watch out for her in the long jump as well.

Mallory Hodge, Tucker

Hodge has the a top 10 200-meter time this season (24.84). She has yet to hit her PR in either the 200 or 400 meters, but once she picks up steam it can get scary for opposing sprinters.

Kaniya Johnson, Lowndes

The future Florida State Seminole has already had an illustrious high school track career. She has the fastest time among all girls in the 200 meters (23.63) and ran a PR of 11.87 in the 100 on March 19 at the L.C. Smith & Winfred Benson Relays.

Tyler Lowe, Chattahoochee

Lowe was not your average freshman last season. She placed second in the 6A state championship in the 400 meters with a time of 55.58. With her trajectory, she is looking to take home three straight state titles. She's also top 10 in the state this season in the 200, running a PR of 24.86 last month.

Yahnari Lyons, Jonesboro

Lyons is one of the top juniors this season, and she's off to arguably the hottest start among all sprinters. She swept the 100 and 200 at the Christian Coleman Invitational against loaded fields on March 19, winning the 100 in 11.40 and the 200 in 22.99 seconds. Lyons is a Jonesboro legend, holding the Cardinals’ records in the 100, 200, 400 and more.

Jordyn Parker, Chamblee

Parker is a junior to look out for this season. Her times continue to drop with each meet. She already has top 10 times in the state this season in the 200 (24.56) and 400 meters (57.35).

Lydia Robinson, North Forsyth

Just a sophomore, Robinson holds the records in the 100, 200 and 400 meters at North Forsyth by sizable margins. She's hovering just outside the top 10 in the state this season in the 400 with a time of 57.45, but look for her to keep improving in all three sprints.

Jadyn Singleton, Savannah Christian Prep

Singleton is showing tremendous improvement from her freshman to sophomore year. She already has a top-10 time in the 100 meters (a PR of 12.14) this season and is nowhere near slowing down.

Kenadie Singleton, Houston County

Singleton is off to a soaring start in her junior year. She followed up a PR of 12.07 in the 100 at the Rams Invitational earlier this month with an 11.88 at the Perry High School meet. If she continues to improve at that rate, watch out.

Grace Smith, Westminster

Smith won bronze in the 3A state championships in the 100 meters last season as a freshman. Her competition has moved on to the collegiate side of the track, which leaves Smith the favorite to win gold this season.

Rasunek Tyler-Thompson, Miller Grove

The senior recently posted a PR of 12.02 in the 100 meters and is looking to break into the 11s in hopes of breaking her school’s record. She also has a top 10 time in the state this season in the 200 meters (24.82).
