Buford has been arguably the best team in the country this season, but the Wolves face perhaps their toughest test yet this week.

They'll face New Jersey's Don Bosco Prep, the preseason No. 1 in some state polls whose season just started last week.

10. Pierce County (15-1) @ Lowndes (15-4), 3 p.m. Monday

Pierce County’s recent 13-game win streak was snapped, and now the Bears are looking to start another to close out the season. Even though Pierce County is in the SBLive Top 25 and Lowndes isn’t, the Vikings are right on the fringe. They have won nine straight games, allowing just two runs per game.

9. Jones County (16-5) @ Houston County (16-4), 6 p.m. Wednesday

Jones County has won eight of its last 10 games and will face No. 4 Houston County, which is coming off an impressive sweep of Valdosta. The two teams will face off in a two-game series.

8. Cherokee (17-5) @ River Ridge (16-4), 2 p.m. Friday

Cherokee has been one of the hottest teams in the state over the past month. The Warriors have won five straight, including a sweep of Roswell, and have won 16 of their last 20 with all four losses coming by one run against top 25 opponents. River Ridge, meanwhile, has won 15 of its last 16 games. This will be a great matchup with both teams scorching hot and one having to come back down to earth.

7. Cartersville (13-4) @ Calhoun (15-4), 4 p.m. Thursday

This region matchup will be a fun one to watch. Cartersville is leading the pack in the region with a record of 6-1. Calhoun sits at third with a record of 5-2 and can catapult itself into first place with a series win.

6. Etowah (18-3) vs. Valdosta (14-6), 1 p.m. Friday

Etowah will face Valdosta in the Battle for Bartow tournament at LakePoint. Etowah has lost two of its last six games but also has two series wins. Valdosta, on the other hand, recently lost three straight games to Houston County to end that season series on a sour note. The Wildcats will look to get back on track, and a win versus a top 25 opponent would be a great start.

5. Walton (15-7) @ Pope (16-6), 5 p.m. Friday

Walton is coming off a series win against North Cobb but will have its hands full versus Pope. Pope is coming off arguably the most impressive win of the season. The Greyhounds took down undefeated Allatoona to extend their win streak to eight games.

4. Loganville (17-4) @ Marist (15-4), 5:30 p.m. Wednesday

Both teams are coming into this matchup with something in common — a recent loss to Parkview. Regardless, both teams have been stellar this season and should match up well.

3. Allatoona (20-1) vs. Windermere (Florida) (11-3), noon Wednesday

Allatoona’s 20-game win streak ended at the hands of Pope, and now the Buccaneers will look to start a new streak. They will face off against Windermere, which has the talent to win 25-plus games this season.

2. Parkview (14-5) vs. Bartram Trail (Florida) (10-6), 6 p.m. Wednesday

Parkview had arguably the toughest slate of games last week that any team has had all season. The Panthers had to face Hoover, a top program in Alabama, and two top 10 teams in Loganville and Marist, and they came out undefeated. Bartram Trail is one of the top programs in Florida and will try to put a stop to Parkview’s eight-game win streak.

1. Don Bosco Prep (New Jersey) (1-0) vs. Buford (20-0), 6 p.m. Wednesday

Buford will look to maintain its undefeated streak against Don Bosco Prep in North Carolina. Don Bosco is a well-known baseball powerhouse in New Jersey and is just getting its season started. This will be a great test of strength for both squads and could see two of the best pitchers in the country face off in Vanderbilt commit Dylan Lesko (Buford) and Kentucky commit Caden Dana (Don Bosco).
