Congratulations to Irwin County baseball RHP/OF Cody Soliday for being voted SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for March 28-April 3!

The junior went the distance in a win over Charlton, racking up 10 strikeouts.

Soliday received 53.76% of the vote, beating out Flowery Branch's Nick Linkowski who finished second with 30.6%. Carrollton's Ace Williamson finished third with 15.14% and Oglethorpe County's Kenzie Henderson finished fourth with 0.08%.

Seth Allen, New Manchester boys track and field

Allen took over the state lead in the discus by nearly 20 feet, throwing a PR of 198'0 at the Friday Night Lights at Starr's Mill. It's the second-longest discus throw in the nation this year.

Tyler Bayer, South Forsyth baseball

Bayer went 2-for-4 with a big home run in the seventh inning to help South Forsyth capture the victory over Forsyth Central.

Stiles Begnaud, North Oconee baseball

Begnaud helped North Oconee in its blowout win over Buckeye Valley (Ohio), going 3-for-3 with a grand slam.

Thomas Burke, Walnut Grove baseball

Burke threw an absolute gem, as he went a full seven innings with 16 strikeouts and gave up only one hit.

Jack Butler, Pope baseball

Butler was vital in Pope’s 5-1 win over Allatoona. He pitched a complete game with seven strikeouts and allowed only two hits.

Caden Carroll, Cartersville baseball

Carroll pitched a complete game in the win over Blessed Trinity. He struck out 11 batters and gave up only two hits.

Madison Catoggio, Brookwood girls lacrosse

Catoggio had two goals and two assists in a 19-5 win over Grayson to eclipse the 100-point mark in her career.

Jackson Chirello, Etowah baseball

Chirello gave Milton fits in two games, going 4-for-7 with a home run and driving in five runs.

Devin Clark, Marietta boys track and field

Clark ran a PR of 47.31 in the 400 meters at the Cobb County championships, the fastest 400 in the state and 10th-fastest in the nation this season.

Levi Clark, Decatur baseball

Clark did it all for Decatur, going 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and pitching 5⅔ innings of shutout ball, striking out eight batters against Southwest DeKalb.

Nicholas Cubides, Walton baseball

Cubides had a monster game, going 3-for-5 with a double and a no-doubter grand slam, totaling seven RBIs in a 13-1 win over North Cobb.

Parker Doyle, North Paulding baseball

Doyle picked up his second win of the season as he went six innings of shutout ball, adding eight strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Marietta.

Paul Farley, Mount Paran baseball

Farley pitched a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts in a 5-0 win over Darlington.

Kenzie Henderson, Oglethorpe County girls track and field

The freshman set the mark for best high jump in Georgia this season at 5'10 at the Cook Holliday Rotary Relays.

Nick Linkowski, Flowery Branch baseball

Flowery Branch defeated Jefferson and Linkowski was huge in the win, racking up four hits including a homer.

Jahday Murray, South Gwinnett boys soccer

Murray scored a hat trick in helping South Gwinnett come back from a 6-1 deficit to beat Grayson 9-6 in overtime.

Ace Williamson, Carrollton baseball

Williamson led the charge in Carrollton’s blowout win over Paulding County. He had four hits including a home run and a double, driving in six runs.
