Justice for Buford.

No, the Wolves weren’t wronged. They received a major addition as they prepare for their first season in Class 7A.

Justice Haynes, a top 50 prospect nationally and the No. 3 running back in the Class of 2023, announced that he plans to transfer to perennial powerhouse Buford for his senior year.

Haynes played three years at Blessed Trinity, where he amassed nearly 6,000 rushing yards and 72 touchdowns.

“BT will always have a special place in my heart,” Haynes wrote in an Instagram post revealing the move. “With that being said I will be attending Buford High School next year.”

This past season was Haynes’ best yet, as he ran for 2,375 yards and 29 touchdowns during Blessed Trinity’s run to the 5A state semifinals.

He played a major role in the Titans winning the 4A state championship in 2019, totaling over 1,700 yards and 18 touchdowns while sharing the backfield with senior North Carolina commit Elijah Green.

Haynes should have a stout offensive line welcoming him as he makes the move to Buford. Anchoring the line is rising senior Paul Mubenga, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive tackle who holds over 40 offers from the likes of Michigan, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and more.

Only Caleb Downs (Mill Creek) and Vic Burley (Warner Robins) rank ahead of Haynes among Georgia prospects in their class, per the 247Sports composite.

Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and USC are the top choices for the do-it-all running back, and he has official visits scheduled with all four schools in June.

With Haynes in the backfield and receiver KJ Bolden, a top 10 player nationally in the Class of 2024, the Wolves will have two of the country’s most explosive weapons on their side this fall.

Haynes' sister, Trinity, starred for the Buford volleyball team this past season.

Their dad, Verron, starred as a running back for North Springs High School, then Georgia and won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
