Top stars, best performances in the Georgia high school baseball 4A-7A championships and A Private semifinals

Here are some stars from the past week's high school baseball championship games across Georgia.

Dawson Campbell, Pope

Campbell was lights-out versus Allatoona. He pitched a complete game, struck out eight batters and allowed only three hits in his game on the hill, and went 4-for-7 with two RBIs in the series.

Carson Kerce, Pope

Kerce played a huge role in Pope’s blowout championship win. He was hot at the plate with two triples, a double, a single and three RBIs in the series.

Caden Carroll, Cartersville

Carroll was on a mission on the mound for Cartersville. He helped save the Hurricanes' season, pushing the series to a third game after he pitched a shutout to force Game 3, which was delayed to Tuesday night by rain.

Matthew Heard, Loganville

Heard was phenomenal coming out the pen for Loganville. He went two innings and didn’t allow a hit or a run to help secure a victory versus Cartersville.

Kevin Maurer, Woodstock

Maurer threw a shutout for Woodstock in Game 2 to close out Woodstock's first baseball state championship, striking out eight and walking none.

Jack Fabris, North Oconee

Fabris hit a go-ahead two-run double to help win Game 2 for North Oconee and complete its record-setting 39-1 season.

Cooper Stephens, LaGrange

Stephens did everything he could for LaGrange. He had four RBIs in a game where the Grangers had five runs in a loss to North Oconee.

Trey Cook, LaGrange

Cook did his best to slow down a red-hot North Oconee offense. He went 6.1 innings with five strikeouts and allowed only five hits.

Kameron Douglas, Woodstock

Douglas hit an RBI double off the wall at Truist Park to get the Wolverines' rally started in Game 2 against Etowah.

Brayden Davis, Woodstock

Davis was a stud on the mound for the Wolverines, pitching a one-hit shutout in Game 1 and striking out seven, giving up his only hit in the seventh.

Ben Stuart, North Oconee

Stuart pitched six innings with five strikeouts, no walks and allowed only four hits in North Oconee's comeback win over LaGrange in Game 1.

Michael Preiser, Woodstock

Preiser drove in or scored every run for the Wolverines in Game 1 of the Class 7A state championship series against Etowah, and went 4-for-5 overall in the series.

Jake Tucker, Mount Paran

Tucker went 4-for 4 in Game 2 versus Wesleyan, including three opposite-field hits.

Cooper Blauser, Wesleyan

Blauser sent Wesleyan to the A Private state championship with a walk-off hit in the eighth inning in Game 3.

Blake Dean, North Cobb Christian

Dean pitched six shutout innings, striking out seven to seal North Cobb Christian's sweep of Fellowship Christian in the A Private semifinals.

Mattheson Go, North Cobb Christian

Go went 2-for-3 with a homer in North Cobb Christian's 6-0 Game 2 win over Fellowship Christian to earn a spot in the title game.
