Habersham Central's Braden Henslee is voted SBLive Georgia Athlete of the Week

Here's a look at Braden's stellar performance

Congratulations to Hebersham Central football player Braden Henslee, the winner of SBLive Georgia's Athlete of Week award as voted by Georgia high school sports fans.

Henslee received 67.98% of the state-wide vote after he recorded 16 tackles, including four for loss, against Lanier. His teammates call him the "tackling machine."

Here are all the other athletes that were nominated for Sept. 18-25:

Julian Lewis, Carrollton, Football

Lewis had his fourth game with four or more passing touchdowns this season to lead Carrolton to a 6-0 record.

Keegan Stover, Rabun County, Football

Stover led Rabun County to its fifth straight win this season while having his fourth game of 280 plus passing yards and four plus passing touchdowns.

Antwann Hill Jr., Houston County, Football

Hill Jr. is a major reason as to why Houston County is now in the Top 25 with his great performances every Friday night. Last Friday was no different, he threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns to knock off the defending champs Warner Robins.

Jai’Que Hart, Lithia Springs, Football

Hart balled out in a win over Jackson. He threw for 393 yards and four passings touchdowns and added two more touchdowns on the ground.

Arianna Cox-Cole, Mill Creek, Softball

Cox-Cole went 4-4 as she hit for the cycle and drove in seven runs in a victory over Dawson County. In another outing she went 2-3 with a double, and two runs in a win over Mountain View.

Olivia Duncan, Buford, Softball

Duncan struck out a career-high 13 batters with no walks and was one hit shy of a perfect game in the win over Walnut Grove.

West Roberts, North Forsyth, Football

Roberts had his best passing performance of the season against Shiloh that gave North Forsyth its fourth win on the season. He threw for a season high 317 yards and tied his season high with four passing touchdowns.

Samuel Brown, Thomas County Central, Football

Brown threw for 258 yards in a win over Godby and for the second straight week threw for five touchdowns while completing 87% of his passes.

Cam Vaughn, Temple, Football

Vaughn rushed for 213 yards versus Bowdon on Friday night. This was his third game over 200 yards rushing and he has rushed for over 125 yards in each game so far this season.

Gavin Hall, Hebron Christian, Football

Hall showed off his true dual-threat capabilities in the win over Athens Christian. He threw for 191 yards with four touchdowns through the air and ran for 149 yards adding two more touchdowns on the ground.

Nick Woodford, Northeast, Football

Woodfords uptick in carries has been a direct correlation to Northeast’s three-game win streak. He ran for 275 yards and six touchdowns in the win over Southwest, which was his third straight game with 200 plus yards on the ground.

Malachi Hosley, Northside, Football

Hosley did his part in Northside’s blowout win over Westover. He carried the ball 23 times for 204 yards and a touchdown.

Ryley Kutter, Wesleyan, Softball

Kutter did a little bit of everything in the win over White County. She went 2-2 with a home run with two RBIs and was the winning pitcher with seven strikeouts.

Logan Curry, North Forsyth, Football

Curry came up big in the win versus Shiloh. He had 121 receiving yards with five receptions and three of them going for touchdowns.

Walker Todd, Pinewood Christian, Football

Todd had a career day in a thriller versus Mont de Sales Academy. He had career high 12 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns to help give Pinewood Christian the win.

Trinity Bearden, North Forsyth, Softball

Bearden was quite literally perfect in 12-0 win over Gainesville, she threw a perfect game in the circle.

Dylan Lonergan, Brookwood, Football

Lonergan completed 38 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns, with 47 rushing yards in a win over South Forsyth.
