Tompkins' Janiyah Heyward is voted SBLive Georgia Athlete of the Week

Congratulations to Tompkins' Janiyah Heyward, the winner of SBLive Geogia's Athlete of Week award as voted by Georgia high school sports fans.

Heyward received 48.65% after flirted with a triple double, scoring 25 points, with 13 rebounds, and seven assists.

Spencer Muffuletto, Jackson County Baseball

Muffuletto had himself a great start to the season and showed off his elite speed, going 4-4 with a triple and four stolen bases.

Lucy Hood, Rabun County Girls Basketball

Hood was her typical standout self at the guard position in a win over Tallulah Falls. She finished the game with 19 points and eight assists while also chipping in on defense with four steals.

Josh Kavel, Wesleyan Boys Basketball

Kavel dropped 33 points in a blowout win over Dawson County and secured the No. 1 seed for Wesleyan.

Bella Ragone, Mill Creek Girls Basketball

Ragone helped her team punch its ticket to the state playoffs with a great performance that included 21 points, eight boards and three blocks.

Peyton Brooks, Social Cirlce Soccer

Brooks went off and scored six goals in a 10-0 routing of Newton.

Zaria Smith, West Forsyth Girls Basketball

Smith was two steals shy of a triple-double in her performance versus Lambert. She finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals.

Lyric Green, Dodge Girls Basketball

Green had a dominate showing in the match-up against Dublin. She had a monster double-double with 30 points and 12 rebounds.

Dominic Eason, Toombs County Boys Basketball

Eason did a little bit of everything in the 33-point victory over Pierce County. He scored 15 points, dished out six assists and hauled in eight rebounds.

Tucker Kazienko, Jefferson Wrestling

Kazienko punched his ticket to the State Championship after finishing first at the 5A Sectionals at 126 lbs.

Jalen Wingfield, Thomas County Central Boys Basketball

The freshman went off for 30 points, 13 rebounds, four blocks and three steals to knock off rival Northside.

Jackson Buffum, Seckinger Lacrosse

Seckinger got its first varsity win in school history, and Buffum scored four of the teams eight goals.

Aubrey Beckham, Hebron Christian Girls Basketball

Hebron Christian moved to 25-0 on Beckham’s near triple-double. She finished with 29 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists.

Markayla Lockhart, Hapeville Charter Girls Basketball

In her final regular season game in high school Lockhart made sure to stuff the stat sheet, finishing with 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Willie Goodwyn, Rabun County Boys Basketball

Blalock had maybe his best performance of the season in a blowout win over Tallulah Falls. He finished with a double-double of 25 points and 20 rebounds while also adding four steals, two assists and two blocks.

Eli Hope, Murray County Wrestling

Hope punched his ticket to the State Championship for the third year in a row after dominating at Sectionals.

Chazadi Wright, Wesleyan Girls Basketball

Wright stuffed the stat sheet in her performance versus Dawson, finishing with 19 points, seven assists, five rebounds, and four assists.

Isaiah Collier, Wheeler Boys Basketball

The No. 1 player in the nation showed why he deserves the recognition as he went to work against another top prospect in Jakai Newton. Collier controlled the whole game and finished with 28 points and eight assists.

Antonio Baker Jr., Johnson Boys Basketball

Johnson defeated Groves and Baker Jr. had a great game. He finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, four steals, and three steals.

Cameron Martin, Norcross Soccer

Martin scored four goals in a 7-1 win over Shiloh.

Tahj Vines, Aquinas Boys Basketball

Vines was on a mission versus Lake Oconee. He seemingly was trying to outscore Lake Oconee by himself as he dropped 31 points and the opposing team only scored 43 points.

Gabe Guilford, Heritage Boys Basketball

Guilford had himself a great Senior Night, he scored 30 points, grabbed five boards, and rejected three shots.

John Charlton, Parkview Soccer

Charlton scored all three goals for his team in a 3-2 win over Discovery.

Grace Hauck, Providence Christian Soccer

Hauck was vital in Providence’s win over Weber, scoring three goals in a 4-3 victory.

Judah Powell, Apalachee Baseball

Powell showed off his power with a 380-foot shot in his first game of the season.
