Jayda Jackson, North Paulding Girls Basketball
Jackson went off to help send her team to the Elite Eight. She finished with 25 points and nine rebounds while shooting 75% from the field and 62% from three-point range.
Averia Jones, Lumpkin County Girls Basketball
Jones led her team with 24 points in a win over Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe. Jones added 10 rebounds and made six of the teams 11 threes.
Jakerra Butler, Hebron Christian Girls Basketball
Butler was a point shy of a 20-20 game as she scored 19 points, hauled in 21 rebounds, and blocked four shots in the blowout over White County.
Janaye Walker, Baldwin Girls Basketball
Walker was also a point shy of a 20-20 performance in a win over Troup County. She finished with 19 points and 23 rebounds.
Ariana Dyson, Luella Girls Basketball
Dyson had 16 points and 15 rebounds as Luella cruised by East Forsyth 89-29.
Elyiss Williams, Charlton County Boys Basketball
Williams went off in Charlton County’s blowout win over Telfair. He scored a game-high 29 points and finished with 10 rebounds and three blocks.
Heaven Carson, Dodge County Boys Basketball
Carson scored a game-high 32 points to help Dodge edge Putnam County in a double overtime thriller.
Malachi Richardson, Johnson Boys Basketball
Richardson had an insane triple-double as Johnson defeated Hephzibah by 62 points. He finished with 28 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists.
Mason Lewis, Woodland (McDonough) Boys Basketball
Lewis had one of his best games of the season, scoring 32 points, with six rebounds, four assists and two steals in the Sweet 16 matchup over North Oconee.
Jaqorian Wiggles, Mays Boys Basketball
Wiggles was a dominant force inside and was vital in Mays’ Sweet 16 win over Winder-Barrow. He finished the game with a 10-point, 20-rebound double-double and added four blocks.
Ace Bailey, McEachern Boys Basketball
Bailey put on a show in the Sweet 16 win over Westlake. The McEachern standout had a triple-double of 17 points, 19 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Caleb Jones-Dicks, North Gwinnett Boys Basketball
The North Gwinnett star showed up and showed out versus Mill Creek. He scored a game-high 34 points to advance the Bulldogs to the Sweet 16.
Aaniyah Allen, Elbert County Girls Basketball
Allen had one of the best performances of the week. First and foremost she led her team to a win over Mount Paran and finished with 37 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, and two blocks.
Mataya Gayle, River Ridge Girls Basketball
Gayle sure stuffed the stat sheet in a win over Blessed Trinity to advance the Knights to the Elite Eight. She finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.
Brooke Moore, North Cobb Christian Girls Basketball
Moore led the charge for her team in the Sweet 16. She scored 22 of her team’s 35 points, grabbed seven rebounds, with three steals and five blocks.
Chazadi Wright, Wesleyan Girls Basketball
Wright also stuffed the stat sheet in the blowout win over Coahulla Creek. She had a double-double with 15 points, 10 assists, with six rebounds and four steals.
Garrett Lambert, Parkview Baseball
Lambert did it all for the Panthers. He went five innings on the mound with no runs allowed and 10 strikeouts and went 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs.
Tyler Bak, North Gwinnett Baseball
Bak had a grand-slam and five RBIs in a big-time win over Lambert.
Nick Lanning, Norcross Baseball
Lanning had 14 strikeouts in a complete game shutout over Johns Creek and at the plate drove in the only run to win the game.
Ethan Murray, Buford Baseball
Buford faced off against the defending 7A state champs in Woodstock and pulled off a win thanks to Murray’s heroic performance. He went 2-3 with two home runs, three RBIs and three runs.
