MILLEDGEVILLE, GEORGIA- The Colorado Buffaloes are starting to pickup up steam once again in the southeast region and this time out of the Peach State. 

Now Colorado is beginning to get running backs to help shape the future with Deion Sanders at the helm. 

Baldwin (Georgia) junior running back Micah Welch announced s Monday afternoon via Twitter that he is committing to the Buffaloes. The running back is a 3-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and also had offers on the table from Cincinnati, Indiana, Florida and West Virginia. 

Welch had a strong season in 2022 for Baldwin and was named the AAAA, Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year. The tailback rushed for 1,373 yards and 16 touchdowns. 

Other offers on the table for Welch were from Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, NC State, Ole Miss, Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee.
