A seismic talent will reportedly be taking his services from the Grand Canyon State to the Peach State.

Multiple outlets reported Wednesday morning five-star 2024 quarterback Dylan Raiola transferred from Pinnacle High School in Arizona to Buford in Georgia, roughly 40 miles away from the University of Georgia, where he committed to in May.

Raiola, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound quarterback and the nation's top-ranked overall prospect in 2024, is just coming off competing in the prestigious Elite 11 finals in California

He may have had to sit out the first five games of the 2023 season due to Arizona Interscholastic Association transfer rules and was reportedly undergoing a hardship appeal process with the AIA. The appeal hearing was set for Aug. 15, the week before Pinnacle's season-opener, reported On3's Chad Simmons.

Simmons also reported Raiola is already enrolled at Buford, a Georgia high school football powerhouse. At Elite 11 last week, Raiola told SBLive he was "waiting to hear back from the high school association in Arizona right now," but declined further comment.

He transferred from Chandler (Arizona), where he played his junior season, to Pinnacle in January, but never played an official game for the Pioneers. As a junior for the Wolves, Raiola completed 178 of 278 passes for 2,435 yards and 22 touchdowns and just five interceptions for Chandler (Arizona). Raiola played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Burleson (Texas).

Raiola joins a talent-laden Buford program with five-star 2024 safety KJ Bolden and 2024 defensive lineman Eddrick Houston. Both are uncommitted.

The Wolves went 11-1 last season in AAAAAAA Region 8, eventually losing to Walton 42-35 in the postseason. Raiola takes over at Buford under center for Dylan Wittke, who graduated this past spring. Wittke threw for 943 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Chandler went 9-3 last season, losing to Basha 13-0 in the 6A Premier playoffs.

SBLive Senior Reporter Connor Morrissette contributed to this report.
