The 11th week of the Georgia high school football season is in the books.

Now it’s time to voice your opinion on which player should be named SBLive’s South Georgia high school football defensive player of the week.

Read up on this week's five candidates below and let us know your pick. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 11th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Shawn Nelson, Turner County: Titans senior Shawn Nelson recorded 20 tackles in a 36-15 win over Atkinson County last Friday night. Of his 20 tackles, 12 were solo and two were for a loss.

Denigel Cooper, Camden County: Wildcats linebacker Denigel Cooper was everywhere Friday night in a pivotal game against Lowndes. The senior led the way with 10 solo tackles and recorded four tackles for a loss in a 33-23 win.

Kendarrious Boyd, Early County: Bobcats defensive end Kendarrious Boyed recorded seven solo tackles, including a team-high two sacks in a close 27-24 loss to Eufaula last Friday night.

Jayce Chaney, Bacon County: Raiders junior linebacker Jayce Chaney recorded 10 tackles and a sack in a 25-14 loss to Irwin County last Friday night.

Tanner Ennis, Bryan County: Senior linebacker Tanner Ennis recorded a team-best 12 tackles, including two for a loss, in a big 50-0 shutout of Claxton last Friday night.
