We've reached state championship week in the Georgia high school basketball season, so we're nearly at the end of the 2023-24 Georgia high school girls basketball season.

Lots of great playoff performances were turned over the last week as we continue to track our Georgia High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week. Below are the candidates from the February 26-March 2, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 10th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Chazadi Wright, Wesleyan

Wright was spectacular in the win over Cross Creek, she finished with 29 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Johanna Potter, Wesleyan

Potter led Wesleyan past Carver and to a state title game with 20 points, 10 rebounds and three assists.

Kendall Wells, North Oconee

Wells finished off her season with yet another double-double. She went for 18 points and 16 boards.

Jessica Fields, Mount Paran

Fields led the charge in the Final Four win over Murray County with 22 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.

Nya Young, Saint Francis

Young scored a game-high 20 points with three rebounds, four assists and three steals in the Final Four win over Athens Christian.

Tianna Thompson, Galloway

Thompson went off went off for 28 points, three assists, three rebounds, and three steals in the Final Four win over Rabun County.

Lucy Hood, Rabun County

Hood did everything she could in the Final Four matchup versus Galloway. She finished with 22 points, 15 rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Anaya Ferguson, Fayette County

Ferguson had a dominant performance to help her team move to the Final Four. She finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and eight blocks.

London Weaver, North Forsyth

Weaver dropped 30 points, to lead her squad to a Final Four.

Allie Sweet, River Ridge

Sweet helped River Ridge advance to the Final Four with a great performance. She finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, three blocks and three assists.
