Vote: Who is the best senior baseball outfielder in Georgia in 2024?

The high school baseball season is underway in Georgia, which makes it the perfect time to take a look at the best senior outfielders in the state.

There is not shortage of talent and building a list of nominees is difficult, but we've narrowed the list of Best Senior Baseball Outfielders in Georgia to 10 players on whom you can vote.

Voting will end on March 22, 2024 at 11:59.

Here are the nominees:

Owen Anchors, Dunwoody

Anchors is a leader on the diamond for Dunwoody and has excelled in multiple ways. At the plate he uses good hand speed and eye contact, and you can just watch the ball jump off the bat. He has triple digit exit velocity type of power. His 6.7 speed in the 60 also helps on the base-paths. Anchors has shown out during his time with Dunwoody and is committed to the University of Clemson.

Michael Mullinax, North Cobb Christian

Mullinax has all the physical tools, he is 6-foo-1, 195 lbs., with good strength and speed as he ran a 6.31 in the 60. He uses these tools to be an elite outfielder, specializing in center field. He has a strong arm, throwing 98 mph from the outfield and great range as he uses his speed. At the plate he is a switch hitter and explosive from both sides but can reach triple-digit exit velocity from the right side. He helped lead North Cobb Christian to a State Championship victory last season and will be looking to repeat this year but after that he will be playing his college ball at UGA.

Terrence Kiel II, Pace Academy

Kiel II is one of the fastest that Georgia has to offer. His time of 6.31 in the 60 helps him out in so many ways on the diamond. In the outfield his range seems to be limitless, and he has a good arm as well. He holds runners at bay from any type of advancement. His speed also helps on the base-paths, whether its stealing countless bases or turning what seems to be singles into doubles and triples on the regular. He isn’t just turning fluke bloopers into extra base hits; Kiel II has some serious pop on his bat with exit velos in the triple digits. After he finishes tearing it up for Pace Academy he will move on and take his talents to Texas A&M next season.

Bo Walker, Starrs Mill

Walker is an all-around talent and has five-tool player written all over him. Walker has elite speed, running a 6.3 in the 60 and standing at 6-foot2. His range seems unlimited in the outfield. He also has a good arm throwing in the low-mid 90’s from the outfield. At the plate he has some big-time power, and the speed to make any hit into extra bases. Walker will take his talents to Georgia Tech after his senior year with Starrs Mill.

Paul Green, Sandy Creek

Standing at 6-feet-2 and running a 6.4 in the 60, Green is a great athlete but that’s not all. He has great instincts in the outfield to go along with the speed, so he covers a lot of ground. In the batters’ box, Green has shown the ability to hit the ball to all parts of the diamond and with power too. Green is a verbal commit to Missouri.

Cooper McMullen, Tattnall Square Academy

McMullen stands tall at 6-feet-4 and has good enough speed to cover a lot of space in the outfield. He has a good arm throwing low to mid 90’s from the outfield, partnered good instincts and reaction time makes for a great outfielder. At the plate he is very consistent with getting the bat to the ball and creating hard contact. His power to his pull side is the most intriguing thing when looking at him at the plate. McMullen is a Georgia Tech commit.

Taft Middleton, Brookstone

Middleton is one of the best hitting outfielders in his class. He currently leads his team in batting average, on base percentage, home runs, RBIs, and slugging percentage. He is a left-handed hitter with a lot of pop in his bat that comes from fast hands and pure physical strength. His exit velocity to his pull side is near triple digits. Middleton is committed to Auburn.

Heath Whitlock, Starrs Mill

The 6-foot lefty is a part of a star-studded outfield at Starrs Mill. Whitlock is great at the plate, with tons of hit power to his pull side. He has recorded exit velocities in the mid 90’s and in the field is throwing low 90’s from the outfield. All together, Whitlock’s plate approach is impressive to watch with a pretty left-handed swing. He is a Mississippi State commit.

Jackson Bradfield, Cherokee

Bradfield is coming off an impressive junior campaign, slashing .400/.517/1.078 with 36 hits and 24 stolen bases. He has a good combination of speed and power at the plate and very explosive hitting to his pull side which he generates from his quick bat speed. Bradfield has been great for Cherokee and will play for Kennesaw State.

Korey Fortson, Westlake

Forston comes in with a large frame, standing at 6-fee-2, 220 pounds, but still has great speed, running a 6.6 in the 60. At the plate he has shown some great flashes, and the raw power is definitely there. Defensively he has a strong arm to go with clean outfield mechanics. He has had throws clocked at 94 mph from the outfield. Fortson is committed to Florida A&M.
