It is high school baseball season in Georgia and each week we will be highlighting top performance and asking you to help us select our Georgia High School Baseball Pitcher of the Week. Below are our nominations for the week of March 4-9 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 17th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Eli Hanna, Greater Atlanta Christian

Hanna went seven strong shutout innings while only allowing just one hit and striking out 12 batters. He also hit his fourth home run on the season.

Chandler Thiel, River Ridge

Thiel was lights out on the mound, going five shutout innings, giving up only two hits and striking out eight batters in the win over Rome.

Jacob Israel, Pope

Israel pitched six shutout innings and struck out 12 batters in the win over Sprayberry.

Will Allen, Houston County

Allen tossed seven innings with 12 strikeouts and no earned runs.

Carson Ward, Calvary Christian

Ward pitched five shutout innings and struck out 12 batters while earning the win over Lafayette Christian.

Cason Conrad, Greater Atlanta Christian

Conrad threw a no-hitter in four innings and struck out seven batters, while getting a hit at the plate and earning three RBIs.

Jackson Peavy, Peach County

Peavy threw a no-hitter in five innings and struck out 15 batters while earning the win.
