Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for March 11-16, 2024 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 24th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Kendall Jackson, Houston County Baseball

Jackson went 4-for-7 in a series versus Veterans with a double, triple, and five stolen bases.

Joshua Kendrick, Woodland (Stockbridge) Baseball

Kendrick had himself a week, in a win over Hampton. He went 4-for-4 with a triple and six RBIs. In a win over Cedar Grove, he went 2-for-3 with a triple.

Ethan Garrett, Heritage Baseball

In a three-game series versus Westfield, Garrett had five hits, seven RBI, a double, and two homers.

Caleb Fleitz, Seckinger Baseball

Fleitz went 2-for-3 with two bombs and four RBIs in a blowout win over Walnut Grove.

Evan Doss, East Coweta Baseball

Doss was 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs in a win over Rockmart.

Matthew Perkins, Allatoona Baseball

Perkins threw the first seven inning perfect game in Allatoona history. He struck out 10 Rome batters with 71 pitches.

Jackson Barberi, Brookwood Baseball

Barberi tossed the second no-hitter of the season for the Broncos. He mowed down Grayson batters like it was nothing and ended with nine strikeouts.

Matthew White, Northview Baseball

White was electric on the mound versus North Springs. He threw a complete seven inning game shutout, only allowing two hits and striking out 14 batters (his second straight game with 14 strikeouts).

Johnny Nutt, Wilcox County Baseball

Nutt was lights out on the mound versus Dublin. He went six innings, only giving up one hit and striking out 16 batters.

KJ Wells, Monroe Area Girls Soccer

Wells had two amazing performances last week. In the win over Hart County, she scored eight goals and had three assists, and in the win over Stephens County she scored seven goals and had two assists.

Aliyah Lowe, Alexander Girls Soccer

Lowe scored five of her team’s 10 goals in a blowout win over East Paulding.

Clinton Breaux, Heritage Boys Soccer

Breaux scored all three of his team’s goals in a 3-2 victory over Strong Rock.

Emmanuel Meraz, Putnam County Boys Soccer

Meraz scored nine goals in the past two games, five coming against Westside and four goals and two assists versus Richmond County.

Zion Ragins, Jones County Boys Track and Field

Ragins took home gold in the 100m at the James Rollerson Memorial Relays. He achieved a PR of 10.24 which is the fastest 100m run so far this year in the state and the third fastest time in the entire nation.

Elijah Thomas, Grayson Boys Track and Field

Thomas ran a PR of 46.80 in the 400m which took home gold at the Huey Magoo’s Invitational. With his new PR he has the fastest 400m time in the state and fourth fastest in the nation.

Dominiq Northington, Woodland (Stockbridge) Boys Track and Field

Northington ran his fastest time in the 110m hurdles with a time of 13.88. He took home gold at the James Rollerson Memorial Relays, and now has the fastest time in the state and 12th fastest in the nation.

Sole Frederick, Druid Hills Girls Track and Field

Frederick was unbelievable at the Christian Coleman Invitational. She took home gold in both the 100m and 200m. She ran a PR in both with a 11.43 100m and a 23.27 200m which are both best for Georgia and top four times in the nation.

Madison Gardner, Woodward Academy Girls Track and Field

Gardner took home gold in the 400m at the Christian Coleman Invitational. She ran a 53.62 which is the fastest time in the state and third fastest in the country.

Kennedy Myers, Lakeside Evans Girls Track and Field

Myers took home gold in the 100m hurdles in a tough heat at the Christian Coleman Invitational. Her time of 13.52 is the best in state and second in the nation.

Madeline Cooper, Drew Charter Girls Track and Field

Cooper gave Myers a run for her money in the 100m hurdles, barely trailing behind with a time of 13.52.
