THIS WEEK’S WAFD BANK PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES:

Naya Ojukwu, Mountain View: Ojukwu broke the 5A state tournament scoring record with 87 points in three games, leading Mountain View to its second straight state championship. She also tied the 5A tournament record with 33 made field goals. She went 33-for-52 (63.5%) and had a double-double for every game she played in, finishing with 40 rebounds.

Prairie Caldwell, Blackfoot: Caldwell had 14 points, 4 assists and 3 steals to lead Blackfoot to a 50-46 win over Century in the 4A state championship game.

Maniah Clegg, Grace: Clegg had 16 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead Grace to a 46-37 win over Prairie in the 1A Division I state championship game.

Hallie Boone, Rigby: Boone had 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists to lead Rigby to a 47-41 win over Coeur d’Alene in the 5A girls third-place game.

Ava Oakland, Boise: Oakland had 18 points and 4 rebounds to help lead Boise to a 52-41 win over Timberline in the 5A girls consolation championship.

Amari Whiting, Burley: Whiting had 31 points and 7 rebounds to lead Burley to a 45-32 win over Sandpoint in the 4A girls third-place game. She also set four 4A state tournament records, including total points with 82 in three games.

Mattie Olson, Skyline: Olson scored 23 points to lead Skyline to a 54-37 win over Mountain Home in the 4A girls consolation championship.

Josey Jones, Tri-Valley: Jones had 19 points and 6 steals to help lead Tri-Valley to a 54-48 win over Kendrick in the 1A Division II state championship game.

Taryn Soumas, Timberline: Soumas had 23 points and 6 rebounds to help lead Timberline to a 65-49 win over Sugar Salem in the 3A state championship game.

Brooke Jessen, Timberline: Jessen had 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to help lead Timberline over Sugar Salem in the 3A state title game.

Ella Fischer, Filer: Fischer had 20 points and 9 rebounds to lead Filer to a 53-50 win over Parma in the 3A girls third-place game.

Maycee Lunt, Marsh Valley: Lunt had 9 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals to help lead Marsh Valley to a 51-48 win over Snake River in the 3A girls consolation championship.

Kate Clark, Melba: Clark had 17 points, 6 steals and 4 rebounds to help lead Melba to a 51-40 win over Bear Lake in the 2A girls state championship.

Kendall Clark, Melba: Clark had 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists to help lead Melba over Bear Lake in the 2A state championship game.

Emme Hollon, Tri-Valley: Hollon had 17 points and 7 rebounds to help lead Tri-Valley to a 54-48 win over Kendrick in the 1A Division II state championship game.
