Each week, SBLive will rank the top 10 teams across the state of Idaho regardless of classification. Here’s a look at how those teams fared in games played in Week 8 of the high school football season.
HOW THE TOP 10 FARED — OCT. 15
1. RIGBY 8-0 (5A) beats No. 5 Highland, 44-21
What a showing by short-handed Trojans, who get three second-half turnovers - and big game from RB Zheik Falevai (180 yards, four TDs).
2. MOUNTAIN VIEW 8-0 (5A) beats Kuna, 48-8
Fast-paced offense wastes no time taking control of this game (four TDs in first 111/2 minutes), paced by QB Dawson Wahl's three scoring strikes.
3. ROCKY MOUNTAIN 7-1 (5A) beats No. 7 Meridian, 24-21
Grizzlies roll up 448 yards of offense, still need to recover final-minute onside kick to clinch spot in 5A SIC title game against Mountain View.
4. COEUR D’ALENE 5-2 (5A) loses to Post Falls, 32-27
Viks doomed by two third-quarter turnovers (and foiled fake punt) - and Jacob Sullivan's game-winning 1-yard score with 30 seconds remaining.

5. HIGHLAND 6-2 (5A) loses to No. 1 Rigby, 44-21
When you flip momentum on fourth-down stop, and have chance to tie game before halftime - have to do it. Rams did not as QB Jack Whitmer stopped short.
6. EAGLE 6-2 (5A) beats Centennial, 52-0
Mustangs win 14th game in a row in the series, dating back to 2009.
7. MERIDIAN 5-3 (5A) loses to No. 3 Rocky Mountain, 24-21
Best 3-loss team in the state? Warriors lose to Mountain View, Eagle and now the Grizzlies by a combined five points. Still dangerous.
8. HOMEDALE 8-0 (3A) beats Weiser, 14-6
All the Trojans know how to do is win - fourth consecutive league title, 17th league game in a row and 28th consecutive home victory.
9. MINICO 8-0 (4A) beats Wood River, forfeit
The top-ranked team in Class 4A gets the week off after one-win Wood River pulls mid-week audible and cancels the show.
10. WEST SIDE 7-0 (2A) beats Aberdeen, 53-0
Pirates incur no speed bumps in extending the state's longest winning streak to 28 games as Cage Brokens tallies thee touchdowns.
