Congratulations to Timberline girls basketball power forward Sophie Glancey for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for March 7-13!

The senior shared MVP honors at the Idaho High School Girls All-Star Basketball Game with Burke by leading the Metro team with 27 points in a 112-88 win over the Region team.

Glancey received 45.55% of the vote, beating out Orofino's Hannah Johnson who finished second with 35.5%. Coeur d'Alene's Skylar Burke finished third with 12.76% and Coeur d'Alene's Parker Freeman finished fourth with 3.13%.

Eli Anderson, Rocky Mountain Baseball: Anderson had a walk-off single to finish 3-of-5, including a double, in a 3-2 win over crosstown rival Mountain View.

Skylar Burke, Coeur d’Alene Girls Basketball: Burke set a new record with 40 points for the Region at the Idaho High School School Girls All-Star Basketball Game at North Idaho College. She broke Post Falls’ Katelyn Loper record of 36 that was set in 2010. Burke scored 25 in the second half alone, in a 112-88 loss to the Metro team. She came within five points of breaking Vallivue’s Amoro Lado’s overall mark of 44. Lado currently plays for Hawaii.

Parker Freeman, Coeur d’Alene Boys Golf: Freeman shot an even-park 66 to finish just two strokes out of first place to lead the Vikings to the team title at the Kennewick Invitational.

Peyton Hines, Rocky Mountain Baseball: Hines posted five strikeouts in five shutout innings of work in a 3-2 win over Mountain View.

Landon Hudson, Orofino Baseball: Hudson had a walk-off RBI single in an 8-7 win over Bonners Ferry.

Payton Hymas, Middleton GIrls Basketball: Hymas downed Centennial boys basketball player Tyler Shipp 18-11 for the overall 3-point at the Idaho High School All-Star Basketball Games at North Idaho College.

Hanna Johnson, Orofino Softball: After not pitching for two-and-a-half years, Johnson returned to throw a four-hitter in a 19-2 rout of Bonners Ferry.

Jack Payne, Owyhee Boys Basketball: Payne won the slam dunk contest at the 19th annual Idaho High School All-Star Basketball Games at North Idaho College.

Roe Reiber, Melba Boys Basketball: Reiber scored 11 of his game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter to rally the Metro team to a 112-104 win over the Region team at the Idaho High School Boys All-Star Basketball Game.

Chris Rickard, Lewiston Baseball: Rickard went 3-for-4, including a double, and drove in five runs in a 24-11 shootout win over Clarkston (WA).

Nelah Roberts, Skyline Girls Track and Field: Roberts placed seventh in the 2-mile final of the Nike Indoor Nationals at Ocean Breeze Park and Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York. She was the only runner in the final from west of the Mississippi River.
