Congratulations to Post Falls softball catcher/utility Alyssa Krause for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for March 14-20!

The senior went 7-of-8 with three dingers and 10 RBS in a sweep of Chiawana (WA).

Krause received 58.18% of the vote, beating out Coeur d'Alene's Matea Dorame who finished second with 25.55%. Post Falls' Sammie Wood finished third with 9.54% and Timberlake's Taylor Bentley finished fourth with 6.49%.

Taylor Bentley, Timberlake Softball: Bentley chalked up six hits and eight RBIs in a 17-5, 16-1 doubleheader win over Orofino.

Matea Dorame, Coeur d’Alene Softball: Dorame totaled six hits in wins over Richland (WA) and Kennewick (WA).

Dillon Fine, Homedale Baseball: Fine was 3-for-4, including a home run, with three RBIs, while fanning six batters on the mound in a 16-5 drubbing of New Plymouth.

Dyan Gomez, Lewiston Boys Tennis: Gomez cruised by Sandpoint’s Cayden Kindred 6-0, 6-1 before easing to the Larry McConnell Invitational title with a 4-1, 4-1 win over Coeur d’Alene’s Turner Cox.

Kaden Hunsaker, Buhl Baseball: Hunsaker threw six strikeouts and allowed just two runs in a complete-game effort in a 12-2 win over Wendell.

Merit Jones, Idaho Falls Baseball: Jones went 3-for-3 from the plate, including a double and a triple and picked up the win on the bump in a 17-6 victory over Blackfoot.

Chase Kaschmitter, Prairie Boys Baseball: Kaschmitter recorded a three-run home run in a 13-3 win over Clearwater Valley before tallying three hits the next day against Kamiah in a 13-6 victory.

Niah Mason, Filer Softball: Mason bagged four hits in five times up in an 18-8 win over Kimberly.

Luke Moon, Twin Falls Baseball: Moon had the walk-off two-run single and picked up the win on the hill in a 9-8 win over Vallivue.

Hayleigh Oliver, Eagle Softball: Oliver went 3-for-3 at the plate, including a double, with a pair of RBIs in a 9-5 win over Vallivue.

Kellan Steppe, Emmett Softball: Steppe was 3-for-4 from the plate with a homer and four RBIs in a 14-8 win against Homedale.

Sammie Wood, Post Falls Girls Track and Field: Wood set new school records in the 1,600 - (4 minutes, 58.90 seconds) and 3,200-meter (10:49.71) runs in wins at the Lewiston Invitational.

Emily Zavala, Melba Softball: Zavla drove in seven runs, most of which game on a grand slam in a 23-2 rout of Fruitland.
