Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for Mar. 21-27 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Bryden Brown, Moscow Boys Golf: Brown carded a 68 to win the Lewiston Invitational.

Derek Burt, Genesee Baseball: Burt tossed a no-hitter with six strikeouts in a 16-0 rout of Nezperce.

Aliana Giddings, Kuna Softball: Giddings racked up four hits, including a double and a triple in a 26-3 rout of Sandpoint. 

Wyatt Holmes, St. Maries Baseball: Holmes sat down 11 batters in five and a half innings' work to pick up the win on the hill in a 5-4 victory against Priest River.

Andrew Horn, Timberlake Baseball: Horn netted three hits and five RBIs in a 14-1 win over Chatteroy (WA). 

Rusty Lee, Sandpoint Boys Track and Field: Lee broke the school’s 300-meter hurdles record with a time of 39.73 seconds in a win at the Bonners Ferry Invitational.

Eva Lundgren, Clearwater Valley Girls Track: Lundgren swept all of the long-distance running events (800, 1,600, 3,200) in a meet at Kamiah High School.

Zach Mullins, Nampa Christian Baseball: Mullins notched three hits, including a pair of doubles in a 16-6 win over Lakeland. 

Sophie Nungesser, Post Falls Softball: Nungesser struck out 12 batters in a 10-0 shutout performance over Moscow.

Ryan Schneider, Coeur d’Alene Boys Baseball: Schneider tallied three hits, including a game-winning two-run double in the top of the seventh, while striking out 13 batters on the hill in a 7-5 win over Rocky Mountain.

Taci Watkins, St. Maries Softball: Watkins threw a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts in the opener and combined to go 8-of-11, including nine RBIs, at the plate in a 32-3, 39-6 doubleheader sweep of Bonners Ferry.

Dalton Wild, Post Falls Boys Track: Wild broke a 30-year-old school record in the 100-meter dash with a blazing time of 11.03 seconds in a tri-meet against Moscow and Lakeland.

Aaron Kearns, Highland Baseball: The senior catcher hit .500 with 11 RBIs, three doubles and a home run at the Rocky Invite.
