Congratulations to Highland softball catcher Jenna Kearns for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for April 18-24!

The junior went 4-of-6 from the plate with five RBIs in a 19-10 win over Canyon Ridge.

Kearns received 62.29% of the vote, beating out Post Falls' Samantha Wood who finished second with 35.42%.

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for the week of April 18-24:

Jenna Barney, Lewiston Softball: Barney threw a no-hitter shutout with seven strikeouts and had a double on offense in a 25-0 win over Sandpoint.

Brody Burch, Pocatello Boys Baseball: Burch threw a complete-game shutout with nine strikeouts and just two hits in a 2-0 win over Century.

Abbey Clark, Ridgevue Girls Track and Field: Clark claimed titles in the 100, 200 and 4x100-meter relay at Bishop Kelly’s the Knight Invite.

Emily Collins, Lewiston Girls Track and Field: Collins won the 200, 400 and 4x400 relay at the Knight Invite.

Dillion Fine, Homedale Baseball: Fine fanned 14 batters while doubling three times in an 18-0 rout of Payette.

Cassidy Fried, Middleton Girls Track and Field: Fried topped the podium in the triple jump and high jump while placing third in the long jump at the Knight Invite.

Rylie Haith, Owyhee Softball: Haith went a perfect 4-for-4 from the plate with two home runs and a triple for six RBIs in a 27-10 rout of Kuna.

Jamie Hamlin, Boise Girls Track and Field: Hamlin won the 2k steeplechase in 7 minutes and 16.33 seconds before joining the 4x800-meter relay team in their win at the Oregon Relays at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field.

Savanna Henzler, Rocky Mountain Softball: Henzler jacked not one, not two, but three home runs, including a grand slam, to drive in a total of seven runs in a 13-1 shellacking of Boise.

Allie Laufenburger, Capital Softball: Laufenburger dominated on both sides of the ball by cranking a pair of home runs for five RBIs and threw a shutout in a 22-0 win over Centennial.

Mason Lawyer, Boise Boys Track and Field: Lawyer was part of the winning 4x200 relay team, a member of the runner-up 4x400 relay team and took second in the 200 at Oregon Relays.

Jacoba Luteyn, Bishop Kelly Girls Track and Field: Luteyn swept the throws in the shot put and discus at the Knight Invite.

Cole Miller, Bishop Kelly Boys Track and Field: Miller nearly went a perfect 4 for 4 at the Knight Invite with wins in the triple jump, high jump and 4x100 relay. He came within a half of a foot of winning the long jump too for a runner-up finish.

Liam Murray, Boise Boys Track and Field: Murray claimed the 400 and was a member of the runner-up, 4x200, 4x400 and medley relays teams at the Oregon Relays.

McKoy Richardson, Melba Boys Track and Field: Richardson ended the Knight Invite as a two-time champion in the 300 hurdles and the 400.

Logan Smith, Boise Girls Track and Field: Smith ran for the winning 4x800 relay team, was a member of the third-place 4x400 relay team and took third in the 800 at the Oregon Relays.

Damaris Stuffle, Lewiston Girls Track and Field: Stuffle walked away with the 100, 300 and 4x400 relay wins all to her name at the Knight Invite.

Taci Watkins, St. Maries Softball: Watkins combined for 35 strikeouts and threw a one-hitter in the nightcap in an 8-2, 9-0 sweep of Clearwater Valley.

Samantha Wood, Post Falls Girls Track and Field: Wood was the long-distance queen at the Knight Invite with wins in the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 runs.
