Congratulations to Pocatello's Ryken Echohawk for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 26-Oct. 1!

The shifty junior tailback rushed for a season-high 202 yards, including two touchdowns. One of them was a career-best 98-yard score around the right end, outracing four Shelley defenders to the end zone to break a 7-7 tie in the second quarter on a 24-21 loss.

He had 710 rushing yards and six touchdowns through six games.

EchoHawk received nearly 70.0% of the vote, beating out Rocky Mountain cross country runner Tyler Sainsberry, who finished second with 30.8%.

Anthem Dahlke, Bonneville football: Bagged 123 yards on just 11 carries while taking a kickoff 92 yards to the house in a 21-19 win over Thunder Ridge.

Trenton Fisher, Homedale football: Totaled 143 yards and a couple touchdowns on the ground while returning an interception for another score in a 42-0 shutout of Payette.

Trevor Garus, Capital boys golf: The UCLA commit shot a 7-under-par 63 at Quail Hollow Golf Course to repeat as the 5A District III boys champion.

Tate Johansen, Middleton football: Notched 11 receptions for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 41-14 win against Timberline.

Javonte King, Blackfoot football: Hauled in 10 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough in a 34-28 loss to Highland.

Bea Levi, Rocky Mountain girls soccer: Goalkeeper made six saves and shut out previously-unbeaten Boise in a 2-0 win in 5A SIC action.

Koa Maio, Vallivue football: Galloped for 155 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-14 win over Ridgevue.

Peter Minnaert, Bishop Kelly football: Ran for 158 yards and four touchdowns in a 63-14 rout of Burley.

Annastasia Peters, Post Falls girls cross country: Came over to Washington to not only win the 15th annual NIKE-Twilight XC Invitational, she grabbed the state's top 5K time of 17 minutes, 31.1 seconds.

Colin Rogers, Mountain View football: Tallied seven catches for 163 yards and a score in a 45-17 win over Kuna.

Abbigail Roubidoux, Fruitland girls soccer: Amassed a personal-best 10 goals in a 12-0 win against Emmett, bringing her fall season total to a mind-blowing 66.

Tyler Sainsberry, Rocky Mountain boys cross country: Took over the state's lead in the 5K after winning the Inland Empire Championships with a personal-best time of 14 minutes, 48 seconds.
