Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Idaho High School Athlete of the Week for Jan. 30-Feb. 4 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. IDAHO NOMINEES

Kambree Barber, Rigby girls basketball: Tallied 21 points and helped hold University of Idaho commit Aspen Caldwell to just eight points to end Thunder Ridge’s unbeaten streak in a 53-48 district tournament win.

Avery Howell, Boise girls basketball: Had 22 points, including 14 in the final three minutes, to go with 14 rebounds in a 54-47 win over Timberline in the district semifinals to clinch a spot at state.

Sidney Jackson, Parma girls basketball: Netted 23 points, four rebounds and three steals to lead the Panthers to qualifying for state for the seventh year in a row in a 54-26 win over McCall-Donnelly.

Heath Jarboe, New Plymouth boys basketball: Put up 27 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in a 62-38 win over North Star.

Brielle Magnuson, Rocky Mountain girls basketball: Bagged a game-high 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting and eight rebounds to help the Grizzlies punch their ticket to state and advance to their first-ever district title game in a 62-46 win over Owyhee.

Reese Strawn, Lake City boys basketball: Sank seven 3-pointers, including five in the second quarter alone, for a game-high 23 points in a 66-33 win over Post Falls.

Demi Thompson Lopez, Mountain View girls basketball: Scored 19 points, including hitting a half-court shot at the buzzer in a 29-27 win over Kuna during a district tournament elimination game.

Kristin Wemhoff, Prairie girls basketball: Racked up a triple-double of 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals in a 64-14 win against Troy in a district tournament first-round game.

Landon White, Eagle boys basketball: Recorded a school-record 43 points - the most by an 5A Southern Idaho Conference player in a game since 2008 - and 12 rebounds in a 77-73 loss to Meridian.

Asher Williams, Bonners Ferry boys basketball: Notched 23 points in a 77-57 rout of Lakeland (4A) for the No. 1 team in Class 3A.

Kase Wynott, Lapwai boys basketball: Weekly nominee outscored the entire opposing team himself with 33 points, 22 rebounds and five assists in a 71-32 win over Troy.

Sophia Zufelt, Lake City girls basketball: Drained six 3-pointers for a game-high 30 points in a 77-61 win over Post Falls.
