Lena-Winslow won its third consecutive Illinois Class 1A state title on Friday. After Lena-Winslow took a 16-0 lead into the half, Camp Point Central looked to be gaining some momentum but both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter. The Panthers scored twice before finally allowing a Crown Point Central touchdown in the last minute of the game to make it 30-8.

Player of the Game: Gage Dunker led the charge for the Panthers with three touchdowns and aso snagged an interception on defense.

Class 2A: St. Teresa defeated Tri-Valley 29-22

St. Teresa capped off its perfect season with a Class 2A state championship. The Bulldogs scored twice on fourth down during the second half and with one final chance from inside St. Teresa’s 30 yard line, Tri-Valley’s pass attempt to force overtime (pending the extra point) was batted to the ground.
