3. Cathedral (Indianapolis) (5-1) defeated Cincinnati LaSalle 37-6

Junior QB Danny O’Neil passed for three touchdowns and ran for two more as the Irish put away visiting Cincinnati LaSalle. Cathedral led 37-0 before LaSalle scored in the fourth period. 4. Carmel (5-2) defeated No. 8 Ben Davis 21-14

Jackson Kazmierczak’s 3-yard TD pass to Reece Bellin provided the difference as Carmel scored its go-ahead touchdown with 4:20 to play as the Greyhounds won a grudge match of 4-2 6A powers. Bellin caught Kazmierczak’s 73-yard score to open the scoring. Carmel has won five straight.

5. Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers) (7-0) defeated Noblesville 38-14

Jalen Alexander scored a pair of touchdowns and tallied 192 yards on 20 carries to lead the Royals past the Millers. Alexander’s 47-yard run in the first period gave HSE the lead for good, leading 14-0 at intermission.

6. New Palestine (7-0) defeated Shelbyville 56-0

Danny Tippit threw for 239 yards and four more touchdowns, and running back Grayson Thomas ran for 147 yards and three TDs. Thomas became the first Dragons player ever to rush for over 1,000 yards in three different seasons.

7. Fishers (5-2) defeated Franklin Central 26-15

The Tigers took care of business on the road, taking a 14-0 lead and rallying for two late scores after briefly surrendering the lead. The Flashes scored on a run, a pass and a safety to lead 15-14 early in the fourth period, but Lucas Minns hit Aidan Zimmer for a 51-yard score for the lead, and Khobie Martin scored his second TD of the night to cap the scoring. Martin finished with 121 yards on 13 carries.

8. Ben Davis (4-3) lost to No. 4 Carmel 21-14

The Giants matched the Greyhounds until Carmel got its winning score with 4:20 remaining. Thomas Gotkowski’s 73-yard TD pass in the third period matched the Greyhounds’ 73-yarder to knot the score at 7, and Isaac White evened the score at 14 with a 15-yard run just into the fourth quarter.

11. East Central (St. Leon) (6-1) defeated Connersville 42-14

The Trojans returned a blocked punt for a touchdown to lead 7-0, and Josh Ringer scored four of East Central’s five offensive touchdowns. East Central led 42-0 through three quarters to cruise to the win.

12. Roncalli (Indianapolis) (7-0) defeated Louisville Male 28-7

The Luke Hansen show offered a rude welcome to Roncalli’s out-of-state visitors. Hansen packaged touchdown runs of 58 and 73 yards around a pair of 1-yard scores to account for all four of the Royals’ scores. The state’s leading ground-gainer churned for 316 yards on 37 carries carries.

13. Zionsville (4-3) lost to No. 2 Brownsburg 50-3

Trevor Hinkle’s 31-yard field goal got the Eagles on the scoreboard early, but Zionsville had no answer for Brownsburg’s potent offense and defense.

14. West Lafayette (7-0) defeated Lewis Cass 41-6

The Red Devils led 2A Lewis Cass 27-0 and cruised to its 41-6 victory. A failed two-point conversion on West Lafayette’s first touchdown was all that kept the Red Devils from their sixth straight outing of at least 42 points.

15. Crown Point (7-0) defeated LaPorte 51-10

The Bulldogs manhandled LaPorte en route to a 51-10 road win. Crown Point amassed 126 rush yards and 205 in the air by halftime alone. Crown Point offensive linemen call their work “Bully Ball,” protecting the quarterback and creating running lanes. LaPorte had no answers for the Bully Bulldogs.

16. Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis) (4-3) lost to Christian Brothers College 55-24

“We just couldn’t keep up with their speed,” said Chatard coach Rob Doyle Sr., as home underdog Bishop Chatard fell to Missouri’s No. 1 ranked powerhouse. Chatard pulled within 20-10 in the second period before Jeremiyah Love scored three straight touchdowns to put the Cadets in control.

17. Mooresville (5-2) lost to No. 23 Whiteland 48-30

Pioneers QB Nicholas Patterson passed for two scores and added a 61-yard TD run in the final period, but it wasn’t enough to counter a balanced attack by Whiteland. Patterson finished with 115 yards rushing and 153 through the air.

18. Evansville Reitz (7-0) defeated Evansville Memorial 27-18

The Reitz defense had three second-half interceptions in its 27-18 win over Memorial. Defense and special teams were a theme for the Panthers whose first touchdown came on a blocked punt and score.

19. NorthWood (7-0) defeated No. 21 Mishawaka 14-6

Trey Woods scored both NorthWood touchdowns and the Panthers’ defense made big stops when they needed to. Woods took a 45-yard touchdown pass on the game’s first possession, and after the Cavemen pulled within 7-6 and missed a two-point conversion, Woods took the ensuing kickoff 75 yards for the only other score of the game. Mishawaka controlled possession throughout the second half but had drives end with a botched punt, a fumble and an interception.

20. Merrillville (6-1) defeated Valparaiso 37-10

Jaylen Thomas threw for 269 yards to lead Merrillville past Valparaiso. After the Pirates took a 9-7 lead with a safety, Thomas found O’Shawn Kelly for a 55-yard touchdown and Merrillville never trailed again.

21. Mishawaka (6-1) lost to No. 19 NorthWood 14-6

This game produced one of the oddest stats of the season. NorthWood ran just 12 offensive snaps in the second half yet won despite 35 snaps by Mishawaka which lost for the first time. The Cavemen grinded yards and clock after trailing 14-6 at intermission but failed to produce any points. Novell Miller’s 2-yard run in the second quarter capped an 8-minute drive but it was Mishawaka’s only score of the contest.

22. Fort Wayne Snider (6-1) defeated Fort Wayne Northrop 48-0

23. Whiteland (6-1) defeated No. 17 Mooresville 48-30

24. Gibson Southern (7-0) defeated Mount Vernon (Posey) 35-7

Still unbeaten in the 3A ranks, Gibson Southern got four touchdown carries from Devan Roberts to down Mount Vernon. Roberts finished with 121 yards on 11 carries to lead the Titans.

25. Kokomo (7-0) defeated Anderson 45-7
