Jashua Anglo, Johnston boys track

The Dragon sophomore turned in the fastest 400 time in Iowa with a 48.29 at the CIML meet at WDM Valley on Thursday.

Reese Brownlee, Clear Lake girls field

The Lion sophomore leaped 18 feet, 4 inches Thursday at Dodger Stadium in Fort Dodge at the NCC Meet. It marked the fourth longest jump of the season in Iowa.

Walter Bultman, West Sioux boys field

The Falcon senior hit the sand at 23 feet to claim the fourth best long jump in Iowa at the Falcon Relays home meet Thursday.

Calen Claypool, Marion boys soccer

Marion hasn’t given up a goal this season with Claypool in goal. He has 52 saves for the undefeated Wolves.

Luke Czamecki, Lisbon boys field

The Lion senior went over the bar at 6 feet 10 inches at the Tri-Rivers Conference meet, tying the third best jump in the state.

Will Davidson, Mount Pleasant boys track

The Panther senior ran a 21.71, placing second at the SEC Conference meet. It marked the fifth fastest time in Iowa this season.

Libby Dix, Mount Vernon girls field

The Mustang sophomore had a throw of 140 feet, 5 inches in the discus Thursday at the WaMaC Conference meet, which is the third longest toss in the state this season.

Jeena Carle, Council Bluffs Lincoln girls tennis

The Lynx senior went 3-0 to take first in the No. 1 singles competition for Council Bluffs Lincoln during the Missouri River Conference girls tennis tournament May 2 at Council Bluffs. Carle beat LeMars' Payton Wright, 8-1, in the championship match. She also shut out Sergeant Bluff-Luton's Ella Skinner in the first round, 8-0, and earned an 8-1 win over LeMars' Elliana Pick in the semifinals.

Gracie Federspiel, Solon girls track

The Trojan junior clocked 56.57 at the WaMaC Conference meet for the third best 400 time in Iowa this spring.

Brandon Fischer, Pella boys field

The Dutch senior had a throw of 199 feet, 9 inches to win the Little Hawkeye Conference meet. It marks the longest throw in the state this season.

Ali Frandsen, Ames girls track

The Little Cyclone junior continues to build on her success this spring, running a season personal best 57.30 in the 400, slotting her with the fifth fastest time in the state. She also owns the fastest 100 hurdles time (14.33) in Iowa.

Katelyn Grady, Sheldon girls field

The Orab senior finished second in the Siouxland Conference shot put behind Jana Ter Wee of West Lyon, but her throw of 42 feet, 4.5 inches was the fifth-best throw in the state this season and second-best behind Ter Wee’s conference championship toss.

Gesser Gutierres, Greene County boys soccer

The junior scored three goals and handed out five assists for the Rams last week. He had four assists in a 9-0 win over PC-M and had a hat trick in a 4-2 win over Marshalltown.

Elliana Harris, Sioux City East girls track

The Black Raider junior turned in the third fastest time in the 200 Friday at Howard Wood Field, running a 25.05.

Luke Harwick, Beckman boys golf

The Trailblazers junior took third with a 75 in the River Valley Conference tournament at Saddleback Ridge Golf Course and was medalist with a 37 at Dyersville Golf & Country Club as Beckman beat Camanche 155-183.

Addison Hoben, Spencer girls soccer

The Tiger sophomore recorded 11 goals and five assists over four games for the Tigers. She had 4 goals and two assists in a 10-0 win over Unity Christian, 2 goals in a 4-0 victory over Sioux City East, 1 goal in a 2-1 loss to Bondurant-Farrar and four goals and three assists in a 7-0 triumph over Clear Creek Amana. She now has 49 goals and 17 assists – both team highs.

Hanson King, Pella boys field

Three of the state’s top five throws occurred Tuesday at the Little Hawkeye Conference meet, and the Dutch senior had a toss of 187-9 to finish third in the discus with the fifth best throw in the state.

Zach Mehmert, Crestwood boys field

The Cadet senior fired a throw of 57 feet, 3 inches to win NEIC Invitational Thursday at New Hampton. It was the fourth longest throw in Iowa this season.

Jerra Merchant, Spencer girls track

The Tiger senior ran the second fastest 100 hurdles time in Iowa with a 14.73 at the Tornado Relays in Storm Lake Monday.

Mya Messenger, Cedar Rapids Washington girls golf

Messenger carded a 73, sharing medalist honors with Linn Marr’s Morgan Rupp at the Mississippi Valley Conference Super Meet at Airport National Public Golf Course in Cedar Rapids.

Cameron Moon, Ames girls track and soccer

The Little Cyclone senior ran the fourth-fastest 200 time of 25.10 in Iowa Thursday at the IAC Conference South meet in Ames. She also scored two goals for the Ames soccer team in a 4-0 win at Roosevelt.

Elijah Morris, Washington boys track

The Demon senior ran a sizzling 21.57 in the 200, which is the second fastest time in the state this season, at the SEC Conference meet Thursday.

Gabe Nash, Sioux City North boys track

The North Star senior ran the fastest 800 time in Iowa, clocking 1:52.51 Friday at the Howard Wood Relays.

Paityn Noe, Ballard girls track

The Bomber senior clocked a 4:37.40 in the 1500 at the Raccoon River Conference meet in Carroll. It was the fifth fastest time in the state this season.

Esaba Okwaramoi, Urbandale girls track

The J-Hawk senior clocked the fifth-best 100 hurdles time of 14.95 in the state Thursday at Waukee Northwest at the CIML Iowa Conference Championship Meet.

Tristan Rheingans, Central DeWitt boys track

The Saber junior ran a 54.17 400 hurdles at the MAC Track and Field Championships at Muscatine, which is the fifth fastest in Iowa.

Jack Riley, West Burlington Notre Dame boys track

The Falcon senior turned in the third best 100 time of 10.67 in the state this season at the SEISC meet at WACO.

Carlee Rochford, New Hampton girls field

The Chickasaw senior had the third best long jump in Iowa with a leap of 18 feet, 6.5 inches Thursday at the NEIC Track and Field Invitational.

Abu Sama, SE Polk boys track

The future Iowa State football player ran the fastest 100 time of 21.43 Thursday at the CIML meet at WDM Valley.

Anthony Schulte, Cedar Rapids Prairie boys tennis

The Hawks’ senior improved his match record to 14-0 on the season with a pair of victories last week. He opened with a 6-2, 6-3 over Iowa City High’s Abhay Anil and got the Hawks’ only win against Iowa City West, beating Samir Signh 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7).

Jaidyn Sellers, Panorama girls track

The Panther junior just keeps getting faster as the season goes on. A week after winning both the 100 and 400 at the prestigious Drake Relays, Sellers turned in the fastest 100 time of the season in Iowa with a sizzling 12.05 at the WCAC Conference meet Monday at Earlham. She then ran the second-best 200 time of 24.96 in a home meet Thursday.

Evan Smith, Knoxville boys golf

The Panther junior tied Tipton's Tristin Sorgenfrey for the third-best 18-hole score in boys spring golf at the Atlantic Invitational on May 2. Smith carded a 67 at the Nishna Hills Golf Club. He won medalist by five strokes over Adel-Desoto-Minburn's Easton Korell. He has an 18-hole average of 69.

Addison Swartzendruber, Cedar Rapids Kennedy girls track

The Cougar junior ran the fourth best 400 time in 56.79 Thursday at the MVC Valley Divisional meet.

Jana Ter Wee, West Lyon girls field

The Wildcat junior unleashed the state’s second-best toss – best in Class 2A -- in the shot put of 43 feet, 4.75 inches at the Siouxland Conference meet.

Miles Thompson, Cedar Rapids Washington boys track

A week after winning the Drake Relays 100, the Warrior senior clocked a 21.63 in the 200 at the MVC Valley Divisional meet Thursday.

Trevor Veenstra, Pella Christian boys field

The Eagle junior had the second-best throw in the state of 196-9, to finish second behind Pella rival Brandon Fischer in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet.

Makenna Walhof, Sioux Center girls field

The Trojan senior had a toss of 140 feet, 4 inches Monday at the Tornado Relays in Storm Lake. It’s the fifth best throw in the Iowa this season.

Ford Washburn, Iowa City High boys track

The Little Hawk senior ran the fastest 3200 run in 8:54.04 in the state Thursday at the MVC Valley Divisional home meet.
