Van Meter softball player Macy Blomgren voted SBLive’s Iowa high school athlete of the week
The senior racked up more than 11,000 votes
Van Meter softball player Macy Blomgren was voted SBLive’s Iowa High School Athlete of the week for July 3-9.
Blomgren totaled 11,057 votes (45.23%). Interstate 35 softball player Shailey Dixon was second with 38.35%.
Blomgren not only pitched a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 12, but also had three hits (including a homer) and drove in five runs for the Bulldogs in a 10-0 win over ACGC in a Class 2A regional opener.
